Parky is absolutely lovable and enjoys company. He is very friendly and easy to manage although the odd sudden pull on the lead when he gets spooked reminds you that he will be a strong adult dog and not suitable to be walked by children. All dogs adopted from the Kildare and West Wicklow SPCA are fully vaccinated, microchipped, treated for worms and fleas and neutered (when of age). We request a minimum rehoming donation of €200 for a dog. A dog licence and a collar tag must be purchased before the final adoption takes place and a home check applies

How to adopt?

1 Contact the member society or animal centre and arrange to visit them. To save time you can download and complete an application form below.
2 The member society or animal centre will give you information on adopting an animal, including the cost, and can help you fill out the right forms.
3 Following an assessment to match you with the right pet, you can meet the animals and reserve the animal you like.
4 A home visit will then be carried out to check your home is suitable for the pet you have chosen
5 When all the paperwork and checks are complete - you can take your new pet home! A follow up visit is usually carried out to make sure you and your new pet are happy!
