Meggie

This gorgeous girl is Meggie, a four year old Belgian Shepherd. Meggie is a great dog. She loves to be with people and will constantly lie by your side or at your feet. She is very affectionate, and she is generally good with other dogs. She loves toys and will happily gather her toys into a little nest to play with them. She is very good to chase a ball. She loves a long walk and would be best suited to a home where she will be taken out for a long walk daily, and if possible a second shorter walk…..once well exercised she is a quiet and contented dog. She will make the ideal family pet in the correct home, as this breed is generally good with children (who are well behaved, and respect the dog…no children under 8 years old please). She is very good around horses, she has has no interest in chasing them (she sometimes shows an interest in sheep) She would be useless as a guard dog as she is too friendly and will happily go to anyone for a lick and a rub. She doesn’t like cats. This is what her foster carers say about her “She is very relaxed and really loves to be with her humans…she is very clean and is house trained, she is walking very well on the lead ( but can sometimes be strong, weighing in at 29kg)and is very obedient. She truly loves her walks in the local woods and has very good recall…she never wanders very far and is constantly watching to see where her handler is. She loves balls and soft toys and her favourite toy is a bright pink hippo with a squeak. She gets on very well with the resident dog and loves to initiate play by doing the play bow and lying with her head close to the other dog with her bum in the air and her tail wagging” With expressions of interest please contact 0871279835 or email kwwspca@gmail,com. Meggie is neutered, chipped and vaccinated. We ask for a minimum donation of 150 to partly offset or veterinary and other expenses. a licence and collar tag are required to complete the adoption, a home visit applies and a secure garden is a must. A 50 euro deposit is required to secure a booking. As Meggie is in a foster home an appointment will be required to meet her. Experience of shepherd breed or similar required.
