Flood Victim

An elderly Yorkshire terrier was discovered during the recent flooding in Cork city centre and was rushed to a local veterinary surgery where it was found he had a serious intake of rain water and that his lungs were flooded. Upon emergency treatment, his prognosis was not good however he pulled through thanks to the wonderful fast acting Veterinary team.  On top of his ordeal, it was discovered he suffers from a chronic heart condition. The little dog named ‘Mitch’ is currently under veterinary attention and in the care of ISPCA Inspector Lisa O’Donovan whilst every stone is being turned to try and reunite him with his owner.  If you have any information, please contact the ISPCA at (043) 33 25035 or email
