Cruelty Free Cosmetics Are Under Threat

8th August 2022

Across Europe, millions of animals are used in science each year in experiments that frequently inflict suffering, which can be severe, but seldom deliver on their main promise, which is better health for humans. They include dogs, cats, rabbits, monkeys, mice, fish, rats and even guinea pigs.  We are calling on our supporters to commit to a Europe without animal testing.

We need your help to end this suffering now – for the animals, for better medicine, better product safety, and for better environmental protection. We want to see humane, human-relevant, animal-free science properly funded and fully utilised. That’s why we need you to support us and sign the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) calling on the European Commission to:

  • Protect and strengthen the cosmetics animal testing ban
  • Transform EU Chemicals Regulation
  • Modernise science in the EU

We are urging everyone who cares about animals, to please sign the European Citizens’ Initiative petition now, to help save Cruelty Free Cosmetics. We need 1 million verified signatures - can you add your name to the ECI campaign before the 31st August 2022 deadline?

To support this European citizens' initiative, you must be a European Union citizen and be old enough to vote. When you sign the petition, you will be asked to provide the following information which is needed in order to verify your signature.

  • Full name
  • Date of Birth
  • Your address

Thank you for your support and for making your voice and the innocent voices of animals in laboratories heard!

Together we can save millions of animals being subjected to unnecessary suffering!
