Petal is ‘on a long journey to this day’ after being rescued from Myshall

22 FEBRUARY 2019

Petal was adopted from the ISPCA Mallow Equine Rescue Centre during an adoption event organised in April 2015.

According to her family, Petal is “on a long journey to this day.”

She still freezes when the family put on her harness for a walk, and continues to suffer from a medley of health issues as a result of her past.

“Petal can’t wear a collar due to throat damage and scarring from kennel cough. She has chronic bronchitis and has had several teeth removed,” said adopter Rena.

In spite of all this, Rena said, Petal is still a brave, caring dog.

“She is the most gentle, trusting creature trying so hard not to be scared,” Rena said. “Her little docked tail never stops wagging. We love her beyond measure and are better humans for having her in our lives.”

Thank you Rena for the update on Petal!
