A Little Too Close To The Wire!

Earlier this week, ISPCA Animal Welfare Inspector Kevin was called to assist a fox trapped in some wire fencing. The fox looked fearful and stressed as we approached. Most likely, he had become trapped while out hunting the night before and had been there for many hours.

Using a dog grasper to hold him steady and to make sure he didn’t injure himself or our inspector, a wire clipper was used to cut the fence and release him. The fox paused momentarily, perhaps a little shocked to be suddenly set free, perhaps to say thank you! Then his flight instinct took hold, and he happily took off.

Thanks to kind donations from wonderful supporters, the ISPCA continues to care for all animals, even this wild fox. If you would like to find out more, get involved, or make a kind donation to support our work, please visit www.ispca.ie
