STEP 1 You will need to register with the official marathon organisers to participate in the women’s mini marathon which can be completed on-line . You can also complete an entry form available in the Evening Herald every Wednesday & Saturday from the 19th of February until they reach the maximum number of entries (40,000).

The Flora Women’s Mini Marathon is a 10k event (6.2miles)

What time does the event start?
The event starts at 2pm sharp

When do entries open for the event?
Entries for the 2014 event will open 19th February 2014. The entries close for the event in mid- April or as soon as the maximum number is reached.

How do I enter?
All participants must enter either on the official Entry Form which will appear in the Evening Herald every Wednesday from mid-February 2014 or online at

How much does it cost to enter?
€18.00 entry fee*On-line entries will incur an extra €1 Bank processing charge

Do I have to raise money for charity?
There is no obligation to raise money for charity. Many participants do use this event to fundraise for their favourite charity but it is not necessary to participate in the event.

What is the minimum age to enter the event?
The minimum age to enter the event as a walker or jogger is 14 years of age. The minimum age to enter as a runner or elite runner is 18years of age

What are the categories you can enter for this event?
There are 5 categories that you can enter (1) Walker (2) Jogger (3) Fast Jogger (4) Runner (5) Elite Runner

What are the qualification times to enter each category?
Proof must be provided by entrant that the following qualification times have been achieved within the past two years:
• Walker: Open to all - no qualification time required. Minimum age 14 years
• Jogger: 100 minutes or under. Minimum age 14 years
• Fast jogger: 75 minutes or under. Minimum age 14 years
• Runner: 60mins or under. Minimum age 18 years
• Elite Runner: 45mins or under. Minimum age 18 years
