Betty Briscoe and her partner Ollie decided to organise a ‘Shave or Not’ fundraising event at her Its U Mo Chuisle hair salon in Loughrea, Co Galway to raise vital funds for the ISPCA. A massive €1,185 was raised from the event by animal lover Betty and her dedicated staff at the salon to support the ISPCA rescue abused and neglected animals around the country.
Betty has been donating to the ISPCA since 2010 and is a great supporter running a number of fundraising events over the past number of years and even included ISPCA wedding favours on her wedding day!
Betty said: “We picked the ISPCA because it’s not just dogs we wanted to help but all animals and the ISPCA rescue many animals from shocking situations. They also help wildlife and once they are back on their feet, they release them back in the wild. The ISPCA do great work and have authorised Inspectors who do such a professional job rescuing mistreated animals and this is one of the reasons we chose them. We have dogs and a thoroughbred horse we rescued ourselves and we wanted to help make a difference”.
