ISPCA Inspector Lisa O’Donovan recently visited a property in south-west Cork. Upon arrival, Inspector O’Donovan discovered six dogs locked in filthy sheds filled with debris and hazardous materials. The dogs, mostly terriers, were found to be underweight and frightened when they were rescued.
“All of the dogs were extremely underweight and it was a miracle they had not sustained injuries or illness from where they were forced to live,” said Inspector O’Donovan. “The conditions were truly shocking. There was no safe place for them to rest or exercise and was no condition for any animal to live in.”
The dogs were taken into the care of the ISPCA and received the vet treatment they needed. Most of the dogs have been already successfully rehomed.Viewed 1368 times.
