Gardai in Cork City recently received an unusual call – a report of a goat wandering around the busy Georges Quay area of the city.
Garda Fiona Sheehan and Garda Xiao Ma of Angelsea station responded to the call and found a 6 year old puck goat, now named “Billy” by rescuers, rambling around the busy road.
As the situation was dangerous to Billy and to more orthodox road users, he was immediately delivered to the care of the ISPCA by Garda Ann Cleary and Garda Patrick Harrington.
Whether Billy was abandoned from a vehicle or wandered to the area is uncertain. Efforts to locate an owner have so far proved unsuccessful.
He is now in the care of the ISPCA Rescue Centre and, in the event that owners cannot be found, we will be looking for a permanent home for him.Viewed 2646 times.
