Suzie is a beautiful little girl who had a horrible start in life and as a result can sometimes be shy of strangers. She is very playful and affectionate. She must go to a home where there is another dog to guide her and provide her with a playmate. She would like a new owner who can spend lots of time with her to make sure she reaches her full potential. She is vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered so is ready for a new home as soon as one comes along. Suzie is currently in a foster home where she has learnt to be house trained, she does walks well on the lead and is relatively good off the lead as well.

Suzie is currently in the care of the ISPCA National Animal Centre

Arthur

Arthur

Arthur is a male terrier cross and is about 4 years old. He loves his rubs and cuddles and gets on well with other dogs. He's very placid and quite easy going. He is happy to potter around outside with his pal Sandy but he does like to go for a walk too. He's in foster with Sandy, a border terrier cross female & their foster mom calls them a married couple. They'd love a home together but can be homed separately. Arthur is neutered, vaccinated, wormed and micro-chipped. If you could give this lovely boy a kind home please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 087 9133923. Harry

Harry

Harry is a gorgeous lurcher boy about 1 year old. He's a very friendly, cheeky boy and is still very playful and puppy-like. He loves other dogs and having human company and would prefer not to be left on his own for too long, so there would need to be someone at home with him for part of the day and he would need to have the company of another dog. He's great with children and is also good with cats. He's neutered, vaccinated, wormed and micro-chipped. Suzie

Suzie

Suzie needs a special home. She is a Yorkie cross about 3 or 4 and she is very shy and isn't that used to new people. She has improved a lot in the last 3 weeks but she will need a lot of love and TLC in order to completely come out of her shell. She is a sweet, good natured little girl but will need plenty of patience and time to build up her confidence. As she is timid and shy it would be best if she went to a home with children over the age of 10. She is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and wormed. We request an adoption fee of €75 to partly offset our vet costs. As Suzie came from the pound you must buy a dog licence as part of the adoption process. Cassie

Cassie is a gorgeous dog. She is a little shy at the moment in a kennel situation but is a lovely, friendly dog in a home environment. She needs an extremely secure garden in her new home and plenty of stimulation and attention so that she doesn’t try to escape. She is house and lead trained and will make a wonderful pet with the right family. Cassie would suit being an indoor dog with access to the garden during the day. She is vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered ready for a new home.

Rusty

Rusty

Rusty is a gorgeous medium-sized dog who would make an absolutely fantastic pet. He loves attention and affection from people and will happily curl up at your feet in front of the fire in the evenings after a hard day running around and playing. He adores his toys and playing with other dogs and will make a great family pet because he is brilliant with children. We would love Rusty to go to a home with another dog for company as he so loves to play with them. He is a very loyal boy and will walk relatively well off the lead - he is great on the lead too. He is house trained, vaccinated and neutered so is ready to go to a new home. Rusty must have a large and secure garden because he is forever dashing and running about and hates to be cooped up. He would also do best as a country dog as he has a tendancy to bark at people and cars going by his house. He really is adorable and very playful and cuddly making him an ideal pet. He is also very good with cats and finds them fascinating although he will chase if they run. Rusty is full of character and is bound to be a wonderful addition to any household. Please call 089 421 3587 if you would like to know more about Rusty or want to give him his forever home.

Bella is a stunning dog. She is very lively and active and as such will need a home with a large secure garden that she can play in as well as plenty of walks. Isha

Isha

Isha is a very friendly dog. She gets on well with people and loves attention. She walks well on the lead, but can be strong because of her weight, and is house trained. She needs a home with a strict diet and regular exercise to help her achieve and maintain her optimum weight. She gets on well with other dogs so would be suited as either an only dog or addition to a multi-dog household. Isha is vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered and is ready to go to a new home.

Onslow

Onslow

Onslow is a young male collie now in excellent physical condition, neutered, fully vaccinated, flea/worm treated. When originally rescued after being abandoned he was too terrified to be handled and after lots of tlc and care he has made the most magnificent dog, not only handsome but obedient, affectionate, walks well on a lead, is good with other dogs and so very friendly. He deserves a caring, loving home after his bad experience and will be the most loyal, loving pet. Excellent with children.

Liza

Liza

Liza is a beautiful girl. She is extremely affectionate and loves to be cuddled and stroked. She will make a fantastic pet. Liza does get on with other cats but would settle in very well as an only cat. Because of her age she is very stiff on her back legs and moves quite slowly but she still likes to potter around the house and garden. Liza needs to be a mainly indoor cat because she needs the warmth and comfort of a bed inside the house. She is very clean and litter tray and cat flap trained. She will need very regular brushing and grooming as, because of her age, she is finding it difficult to keep on top of her normal grooming routine. Liza is vaccinated and neutered ready to go to a very special and loving home.

Heather

Heather

HOME NEEDED FOR BEAUTIFUL HEATHER: Meet Heather. She is the most adorable sweetheart of a dog - an angel with kids, so gentle, very social, loving & affectionate & great with other dogs. She really left an impression on me the day I took her to the Sighthound Stroll in Bushy Park & to the beach. Heather has an old injury to one of her legs which means she can't walk too far. A short stroll is all she needs - the leg doesn't bother her too much but if she over-does the exercise she can get a bit lame. She's still very playful though and really enjoyed playing on the beach. The girl is just an amazing dog and I hope people overcome their reluctance to adopt a lurcher & come & see her. She totally won me over & whatever family adopts her will be very lucky because she's such a special girl. She is about 3 and is medium sized. She is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped & wormed. We request an adoption fee of €75 to partly offset our vet costs. As Heather came from the pound you must buy a dog licence as part of the adoption process. Please call 087 9133923 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) if you could give Heather a loving home.

Dolly

Dolly

Dolly is a young female labrador mixed breed approx 10 months old, she has been spayed, is fully vaccinated, house trained and good with most other dogs, all people and children. She has made a wonderful recovery after having been attacked and mauled, her rear end full of bites and puncture wounds. Thankfully this trauma in no way affected her nature and she is the sweetest and most loving of creatures, so affectionate and willing to please. She would make a really lovely, loyal pet.

He has had to be shaved by a vet, hence his strange appearance. He will be a handsome cat when his fur grows back. ET needs an owner who will keep his coat combed, to prevent it from matting again. He is a very clean cat, who adapted immediately to using a litter-tray. He loves children, and would be suitable as a family pet. A homecheck will apply. Harry

Harry

We have rescued Harry from the pound he is 4-5 years old and is now enjoying his new found freedom. Having met everyone in his new foster home he has indulged himself on the local cuisine and enjoyed a well deserved snooze. He has been neutered and is fully vaccinated. He seems to be a Westie cross and we are sure will tidy up well. Sadly it seems he has had a broken leg and jaw, probably due to being hit by a car and these breaks have been left to heal on own. He gets on fine eating and walking now but may have problems with artritis in his leg when older. Harry has started to display a very affectionate nature and likes nothing more than a good cuddle. Now when he sees a lead he just wants to put it in his mouth and carry it round until you are ready to set off, he is beginning to show some very endearing traits. If you would like to consider Harry we feel he would do best in a home of his own so that he can have the dedication he deserves. If Harry is the one for you please email us your details or telephone on 087.050.55594.

Taz

When Taz first came to us in February 2011 she was wild and had been roaming around Boyle. She is a Jack Russell about 2 years old. In June she was rehomed for a month but the family has cats and Taz would chase them so she was returned. Since then she has calmed down a lot, become more socialiable with other dogs and is in a home with two more terriers and Ben the Husky. She loves going for walks and is a very fit dog, She chases sheep and cannot be trusted with them although she has improved quite a bit. It will take her a while to bond with her new owners but she is very clever and would benefit from agilty and/or obedience classes which she would love. If someone is willing to spend time with her she will make a wonderful companion. If you would like to home Taz please email us your details of telephone on 087.050.5594.

Belle

Belle is a young female mixed breed dog found in a very poor state - her paws cut?bleeding, dew claw hanging by a thread, plus a bad skin infection which appeared to be old and untreated. She has responded well to treatment and would be such an adorable pet. Despite her bad past treatment she is the most affectionate, gentle and placid natured dog, good with other dogs and cats, obedient and will walk well on a lead. A large dog with still a little growing to do but not boisterous or noisy. A pleasure to be with.

Lorcan

Lorcan

Lorcan is about 10 weeks old and was another abandoned puppy. We are not sure of his parentage but a similar pup we found over two years ago now has grown into a beautifully natured if somewhat large dog. Looking at Lorcan's paws anyone considering him must be prepared to care for a dog the size of a German Shepherd. He was quite thin when he was picked up and sightings had been reported for about a week prior to his capture, he would have been no more than 6-7 weeks old when abandoned. He has now recieved his first vaccination and been wormed, we can already see a difference in his condition. Once he has had his second vaccination he will be ready for homing. He is very cute and has all the attributes of a happy puppy, his training will begin soon but will need to continue to ensure he doesn't get too many ideas above his station once he develops more power. If you would like to consider caring for Lorcan please email us or call on 086.050.5594.

Sweep

Sweep

Sweep is a beautiful cat. He is sadly very nervous around people at the moment but with patience and daily handling he is improving. Sweep will need to be rehomed with another confident cat or kitten to learn from and help him overcome his fear. Given time, he will no doubt become a wonderful and rewarding pet. He is vaccinated and litter tray trained and be neutered ready for a new home.

Kia

Kia

Kia loves cuddles, and human company, once she gets to know a person. She is shy the first few days in a new home, and would need a patient owner, who is prepared to give her time to gain confidence. She has been living in an apartment, and would be happy as an indoor cat, provided she has reasonable space and a good scratching post. She is litter-tray trained, spayed and vaccinated. She is being rehomed because her owners are emigrating. A homecheck will apply. Please note that the Cat and Dog Protection Association can only rehome animals within 30 miles of Dublin city, as we do not have the resources to do homechecks elsewhere.

Furbie

Furbie

Furbie is a very sweet cat. He loves people and would happily sit with you all day and be stroked. Furbie came to the centre with a severe injury to one of his front legs and it had to be amputated. He needs a home where he can mainly live indoors and sometimes have short, supervised trips outside. He deserves a home where he will be loved and looked after after all that he has been through in his short life. Furbie is such a loving cat and he will make a great pet in almost any kind of home.

Millie

Millie

Millie is about 4 years old, we homed her two years ago but due to sad circumstances her owner can no longer care for her and has asked us to find her a new home. Millie is a total lap dog, she loves to be adored and enjoys getting out and about. She still has a tendency to roam so should be kept on lead whilst outside, she will need a secure garden. She travels well and enjoys being in a car - although does have a tendency to want to keep a close eye on what's going on outside. Millie tends to lurch at cats so may better be placed in a home without them. Millie would do well in a quiet home where she is the centre of attention, she is very responsive and loves to please and be praised. If you can provide Millie with the home she needs we feel sure you will be rewarded by her love and loyalty - please email us or telephone on 087.050.5594..

Ted

Ted

Little Ted needs a home! Little Ted came from the pound where no-one came forward to claim him so we took him into our care. He's a little character and a typical terrier. He's quite young, between 1 & 2 years old. He's very friendly but is not good with cats and would probably be best in a home with no other male dogs. He gets on very well with female dogs. He can bark when left on his own so he would suit a home where he has company most of the day. He's an active little dog and likes his walks and playing with his teddies. He's been waiting a long time for a home and he's such a lovely boy so he really deserves a kind forever home. He's neutered, vaccinated and wormed. If you could give Ted a loving home please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 087 9133923. We request a €75 adoption fee for all our dogs to partly cover their vet fees.
