Tupac is the most adorable boy you will meet and he is waiting patiently for a fantastic family to take him home. He is like all puppies playful and packed tight with mischief but he is also very sweet and affectionate and we think he will make a fantastic pet. He is believed to be Rottweiler GSH X and as such is a restricted breed. His new home must good fencing, knowledge of restrictions for this breed and a responsible nature to implement these laws. He will require on-going training to allow him to grow up into a well mannered adult. He would love to be adopted with his buddy T-Bone if possible but were are open to any offer of a suitable responsible home.

Tupac is currently in the care of the ISPCA National Animal Centre

Bullseye is a fabulous big lad looking for his own forever home. He is super friendly, loves lots of one on attention. He is social with other dogs and can be tested with prospective pals on site. He is strong on lead and will need on-going training in this but he is fantastic off lead, very loyal. He is not good with other animals, horses, cats or small mammals. He will require very secure fencing and a adopter with experience with restricted breeds and ready and willing to follow the laws pertaining to this. This boy is a smasher and the icing on the cake, he is fully house trained.

  • Age: About 1 year
  • Sex: Female

Elsa is probably a terrier/collie cross but she is much smaller than a collie. She has been in foster care but is now ready to be re-homed permanently and is with us in our KWWSPCA shelter in Athgarvan where you can come and meet her during our opening hours of 2.00pm to 4.00pm every day of the week. Elsa is house trained, very sociable, mixes well with other dogs and loves her cuddles. She is energetic, loves to play and would suit an active family where she will get plenty of mental and physical stimulation. She still needs some training on the lead and would not suit a family with very young children (under six) as she can jump up when excited. She is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. If you would be interested in re-homing Elsa, or would like more information about her, please call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). A home check will be required. We ask for a rehoming fee of €100 when we rehome a dog to partly offset their veterinary and other costs.

This big guy is RILEY, who came into the care of the KWWSPCA from the Kildare Dog Pound and is now looking for a HOME. Riley has been neutered, chipped and vaccinated. We are not sure what mix of breeds he is but our best guess is a Boxer/Labrador/Collie combination. Riley has a lovely friendly personality and is a very happy dog, eager to please and mixing well with other dogs. He is a big, strong dog and while quite obedient on the lead, he can be quite strong and so would ideally be homed by someone with experience of a larger breed. And due to his size he wouldn't suit a family with young children If you would like to find out more about Riley or offer him a home, then please call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Or best of all come to meet him at our KWWSPCA Animal Shelter, which is on the road from Athgarvan to Twomilehouse (just outside Newbridge) and open every day to visitors from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. A home check will be required and we ask for a rehoming fee of €100 to partly offset their veterinary and other costs.

Gizmo

Gizmo

This gorgeous little guy is GIZMO, a Terrier x who came into us from Kildare pound after spending his regulation five days there during which time sadly no one came forward to re-claim him. So Gizmo is now with us at our KWWSPCA shelter and he is looking for a foster or permanent home. He is about 2 years old and a typical terrier, full of fun and energy, who loves to play and enjoys his walks. Mitch

Mitch

Mitch is one of our dogs that we have taken out of the Kildare Dog Pound. We think he is a Jack Russell/Chihuahua cross. He is neutered, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. Mitch would not be suitable for a family with children under 14 as he is very nervous and highly strung. He can be snappy if he is frightened. He would suit a life as a lap dog, perhaps as a loyal companion for an older person where there are no other dogs, but he would need exercise as well. He enjoys his walks and is good on the lead. He just needs someone to show him what love is and he will give back in spades to the right owner(s). If you would like to find out more about Mitch or offer him a home, please call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Kendra

Kendra

Kendra is aged about two and she came into the care of the KWWSPCA after spending her regulation five days in the pound during which time sadly she wasn’t reclaimed. Kendra is a bit overweight, probably from a lack of exercise, and she will require an active family who are prepared to give her regular long walks. She is good on the lead and obedient. She will need a secure garden as she is an agile climber! Ideally her owners should have previous experience of a large dog breed, and preferably of a husky/malamute. Kendra has been neutered, wormed, vaccinated and microchipped. If you would like to find out more about Kendra or offer her a home, then please private message us through our Facebook page, call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). This is Lexi. This little girl came into our care in very bad condition. She had sustained a back injury and had lost bowel control and had limited movement of her legs. She obviously had been left for several days before attention was sought. She went on a course of antibiotics and steroids to bring the swelling down. She has done great, has regained bowel control and runs around like any other little kitten, climbs trees and gets into all sorts of mischief. When she gets tired, she has a slight stiff movement of her leg. She is the most affectionate lovely little girl you could get. Rusty

Rusty is a cracking little lad looking for his own forever home. He is good with other dogs and could share his home with another once tested correctly. He walks well on lead and will bark at strangers. He would suit a home with adults only as he is not great with children and preferably one who has experience with Jack Russell's and can provide him with structure and training in his new home. He will require securely fenced garden and lots of exercise and simulation. Dec

Dec

Dec is a gorgeous little lad looking for his own family to love him. He will be a indoor pet, preferably until he is neutered, after which he can have access to outside where he can hunt his little paws off. He will fit in well to a home with another kitten or playful cat for company. We would love to see him rehomed with his buddy and brother Ant as they have such a blast playing and adore each others company. He litter trained, social with other cats. He is in good health, is vaccinated and treated for parasites and is now ready to find his family to love him. He will make a wonderful family pet with a little tlc and lots of attention. Have you room in your home & heart for this lovely boy?

TJ

TJ is a fantastic lad looking for his own forever home. He is such a good boy, he adores attention and lots of cuddles. He can be vocal and would suit a home not in a built up area and preferable with the company of another friendly small dog to play with. He is a diamond in the rough, he has been through terrible neglect all he craves now is interaction and love. He would make a fabulous pet for a retired person looking for a canine buddy. He will require a secure garden, his daily walks and lots of lovely grub. Have you room in your home & heart for this little knock out?

Homer

Homer

Homer is a stunning boy looking for her own special forever home. He is a gorgeous boy but will require a home with a experienced Bassett owner and no children. He will require on-going obedience training and commitment of his new adopter to help him adjust to his new life. He walks well on lead, is fairly good off lead provided he doesn't sniff out something fun. He will best suit being a single dog in a quiet home as he loves his naps and comforts. He will soon be ready for adoption and we would love to find him his special home asap.

Freddie

Freddie

Freddie is a 6 month old male cross bred labrador. He's in excellent physical condition having been neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for kennel cough, fleas/worms. Unfortunately Freddie's owner is no longer able to care for him and he needs a new home through no fault of his own, he's very affectionate, friendly, good with other dogs & cats, house trained & non-destructive indoors. He needs more exercise than is available to him right now and urgently needs to be moved to a new home where there is a secure outdoor/garden area and with an owner who enjoys walking/exercise/playing & can give Freddie the companionship he needs. In return this little man has a great deal to give.

Moe

Moe

MOE is looking for a HOME. This big bouncy boxer cross is Moe. He is approximately 3 years old and came into the care of the KWWSPCA along with another dog Minnie from fairly unfortunate circumstances where they didn’t have much space or interaction with other dogs. Consequently, our animal shelter with all the other dogs and wide open spaces for walks, is quite a culture shock for them. Moe can sometimes be quite dominant towards Minnie and hence we are looking to re-home them separately so that they can both flourish. We think Moe should be homed as an only dog as he has not been socialised around other dogs (apart from Minnie) and can be quite aggressive towards small dogs. He is strong on the lead and will need some basic training but he is an intelligent dog and is picking up commands quite quickly. Moe absolutely loves people and loves human contact; he just wants to give you a hug and cover you in sloppy licks! If you would be interested in re-homing Moe or for more information about him, please call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). An experienced owner of larger dog breeds would be preferred and a home check will be required. We ask for a rehoming fee of €100 when we rehome a dog to partly cover their veterinary and other costs.

Harriet

Harriet

Harriet is a friendly female foxhound/beagle cross about 2 years old. She is a medium sized dog. She is an affectionate girl and loves attention and going for walks. She would suit an active family where someone is at home part of the day. She would need to be well fenced in as she can jump very high. She is house trained. She loves the company of other dogs and would do best where she has another dog for companionship. Harriet is vaccinated, micro-chipped, spayed and treated for parasites. If you can give her a loving home please contact us on 087 9133923 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). We request a €100 adoption fee for all our dogs to partly cover their veterinary and other costs.

Milo

Milo

Milo is looking for a permanent home. We think Milo is an English bull terrier cross, and he is about a year old. He came into the care of the KWWSPCA several months ago when he was found half-starved and abandoned. After initially recuperating at our animal shelter, Milo went into foster care where has been given a lot of love and attention, and he is now fit and well and looking for a new home. This is what his foster family have to say about Milo – “He loves his morning and bedtime cuddles. He would definitely suit a home with another dog. He really enjoys canine company. He is brilliant on and off the lead. He is such a happy boy and is just as happy lazing around as he is on a walk. He has had absolutely no food aggression or anything. He has been socialised with children and he's grand with them but we do think he would be better with older kids given his size. He is an amazing dog, would be a credit to any family and would fit right in!” Milo has been neutered, vaccinated and wormed. If you could offer him a good home, or if you would like to find out more about him, please call or text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). As he is still in foster care, prior arrangements will need to be made to meet him.

T-Bone is a fabulous boy looking for his own forever home. He is adorable, loves lots of attention, cuddles and a good long walk. He is playful and loving and will require a home with secure fencing, a adopter with experience of the breed and knowledge of restricted dogs as he falls under that category. He is strong on the lead & is currently receiving training to correct this but in the right home this boy will thrive and make his new adopters very happy indeed. Oakley & Snudge

Oakley & Snudge

These two gorgeous boys are looking for their own forever home. They are great with other dogs and adore the company of people. Both dogs love kids, Oakley especially but as they are lively big boys they would best suit a home with kids over 8, experienced with dogs. High secure fencing is a must and no cats or small mammals as they are too interested in them. They have good recall but as lurchers they quite often find something fun to chase and take their time coming back. Oakley loves his cuddles and is very laid back, Snudge is very puppyish and just mad to play all the time but when he's calm he is very affectionate too. Both boys are house trained & indoor dogs and are waiting patiently for a loving forever home to come forward. These boys adore each other and are so cute together we are appealing for a family to come forward to adopt these stunners. They are currently in foster, please call to arrange a meet. 043 3325035 Both boys are fully vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered and ready to rehome.

He's a fine healthy dog who has been neutered, fully vaccinated, flea/worm treated & microchipped. Paddy

Paddy

Paddy is a handsome lad looking for his own second chance. Paddy is very social with other cats and loves to play with his siblings and pod mates, but he is timid & sacred around humans. He will need a patient home where he can settle and come forward in his own time. His new home must have another playful friendly cat or kitten to play with and for him to learn from. He is litter trained and is preferably an indoor cat until she comes of age to be spayed, when he can then be free to hunt the outdoors to his own content. He is in good health, is vaccinated and treated for parasites. He litter trained, social with other cats. He is in good health, is vaccinated and treated for parasites and is now ready to find his family to love him. He will make a wonderful family pet Have you room in your home for this little heartbreaker?

Abbey & Ariel

Abbey & Ariel

These two adorable mixed breed pups are both female and 2 of four pups who were abandoned in a cardboard box at the side of a busy road, all are lucky to be alive thanks to a passer by who spotted them and handed them into our care. They were in a dreadful state, filthy, stinking, starving and very confused. However, all are now in great health, well socialised & used to children, other dogs & animals, they have been fully vaccinated, worm/flea & kennel cough treated. Discounted price vouchers for spaying are issued for use at 6 months of age. Happy pups who would be great family pets.

Sophia

Sophia

Sophia is a gorgeous friendly girl looking for a loving forever home. She adores attention, is litter trained and will make a fantastic family cat. She would suit a home where she can sleep indoors at night and have access to outside during the day if she so wishes. She loves her grub, sometimes too much so her diet needs to be strictly monitored. She will be a fabulous lap cat and would make a ideal companion for a retired person looking for a feline friend. She will be a only cat, she does not like other cats and wont tolerate sharing her humans.

Hazel

Hazel

Hazel is a gorgeous lurcher who has obviously had a difficult life in the past and what she really now needs is a warm, comfy sofa to call her own. Could that be with you or someone you know? Hazel is about 3 years old and came into our care underweight and not in great shape overall. She has been getting plenty of TLC and lots of feeding up for the past couple of weeks – she still needs to put on more condition although her coat is now much improved. Hazel is just the gentlest soul imagineable. She has eyes that would melt your heart, loves receiving any affection and all she wants to do is find somewhere to snuggle up and have a nice rest. She won’t need a lot of exercise as one good walk in the morning is all she wants at the moment (she digs her heels in if you try to give her a second walk!), and she must live as an inside dog. A home check will apply (as with all our dog re-homings). She has been neutered, vaccinated and wormed. If you would be interested in re-homing our lovely Hazel or for more information about her, please call/text 087 1279835 .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). She can be visited at our KWWSPCA shelter in Athgarvan (just outside Newbridge) which is open daily from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. We ask for a rehoming fee of €100 when we rehome a dog to partly cover their veterinary and other costs

Ralph

Ralph

Ralph is a gorgeous little man looking for his own forever home. He is very social with other dogs, adores play time and is quite smart so is picking up training each day. He walks beautifully on lead, is great off lead and is ready to go to his new home. He will be tested with other animals prior to adoption. He will require a home with secure fencing, patient adopters with experience training puppies and preferably another dog for company. Can you offer this lovely boy his second chance?

Ollie is a lovely little man in need of is own second chance. He is simply stunning, great with other dogs, good on lead and a really loving little man. He will be further tested with other dogs, cats, horses and poultry prior to adoption. He is currently on treatment and will soon be available for adoption but in the meantime we would love to line up suitable forever home for him. He will require a home with secure fencing, preferably another dog for company but he would be fine as the single pet provided he is not left alone for prolonged periods. Beauty

Beauty

Beauty is a lovely lady looking for the quiet life. She has made a tremendous turn around as when she arrived she was petrified and could not bare to be touched, today she is a much more confident lady who adores cuddles. She is not fully socialised yet though and would greatly benefit from a quiet home with preferably older children or none at all so she can settle in her own time. She has had surgery on her eyes to correct a eye condition and may still need further treatment but this will all be done prior to rehoming. In the meantime she really needs a loving home to come forward, is that you?

Bruce

Bruce

Bruce is a fantastic boy in need of a experienced owner. He is such a good boy and would suit a home as the only pet or with another dog as he is quite social, preferably with no children and a owner with experience of the breed. He is great on lead but he is not very loyal off lead as yet but given time and training in his new home there is no reason to believe that wont change. He loves his humans and would love to spend as much as the day with them as possible. He is currently being tested with other animals and more details will follow. Can you offer this fine boy his second chance?

Minnie

Minnie

MINNIE is looking for a HOME. This lovely big girl is Minnie. She is approximately 3 years old and a spaniel cross (probably with a boxer). She came into the care of the KWWSPCA along with another dog Moe from fairly unfortunate circumstances where they didn’t have much space or interaction with other dogs. Minnie is a very friendly girl who loves human company and receiving affection. She also clearly loves her food as she is quite overweight and needs to shed a few pounds so it will be a doggy boot camp for her with plenty of exercise! She loves going for walks but needs basic lead training as she pulls very strongly at the moment (at least until she gets tired). She is very sociable, frindly and gets on very well with all the other dogs here at the KWWSPCA shelter, and she could certainly join a family with other dogs. If you would be interested in re-homing Minnie or for more information about her, please call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
