Claus is a gorgeous big boy looking for a active family to take him home. He is big lad, full of beans and will require a home with experience of these breeds. He loves people and will adore a home where he has lots of human interaction; he would be ideal as a single pet but could be rehomed with a female dog for company too. He is a big softie but is quite strong and foolish so would be better suited in a home with older children. He will require on-going obedience training but he is very clever and with consistency in a new home this fine boy will make some lucky family very happy indeed. Claus was removed from a property with 3 other dogs. They were fed and watered but they were individually tied up outside without adequate shelter and had little or no interaction or exercise which is especially important for this breed.

Claus is currently in the care of the ISPCA National Animal Centre

These cute bundles of fun will make fantastic pets for any family. They are really affectionate and playful and will make any home a lot more fun! They are very sociable and could go to homes in pairs or with another friendly dog for company but they could also be single pets as long as there is someone home with them most of the time. Like all puppies they run and play like there is no tomorrow but when they have tired themselves out they would love a warm snuggly lap to curl up on. They must be indoor pets and have access to a secure garden where there is no chance that they can get lost. These puppies are a collie mix so will grow into medium sized dogs and need an active lifestyle. Do you think Hamish, Cameron or Mackenzie could be the puppy for you?

2 males & 3 females These cute pups are full of energy and just love to play. They are all very individual but they have their love of people and cuddles in common! They would do well with another friendly dog in their new home but can be rehomed as single pets provided they are not left alone for long periods. Like all puppies they are very inquisitive and love to investigate everything and will surely bring lots of fun to their adopters. They will need to be indoor pets and have a secure garden to play in. They will charm their way into your heart once you meet them and you are bound to fall in love.

Brandy is a cracking little lady looking for a active family to take her home. She loves lots of attention and gets on well with other dogs, ideally her new home will have another playful dog for company and a secure yard to play in. She cannot be left alone for prolonged periods and will require plenty of obedience training to help her grow up into a settled and well mannered adult. She is so friendly, she would make a ideal family pet provided the children have experience with dogs and preferably are over 8 yrs. of age. Brandy is a gem and will not stay at the centre long, once you meet her, you will love her. Have you room in your home & heart for Brandy?

T-Bone

T-Bone

T-Bone loves people and is happiest keeping you company in the garden or house. If there is a fire you will always find him in front of it. He is very good at sit and stay commands and heels when called. T-Bone is great on the lead and listens to commands such as "slow" "stop" and "cross (the road)". He is an intelligent dog and has made such amazing advances since being fostered which could only be improved on once finding a permanent home. He will need an adopter with experience of the breed and knowledge of restricted dogs as he falls under that category but he is a real dote and a fantastic pet.

Ray

Ray

Ray is a very happy and affectionate guy. He is great with people and loves to get some fuss and attention. Despite the tough circumstances in his previous life he has remained a very loving and friendly boy. He would suit a home as the only dog with lots of love and attention but he could also be rehomed with another friendly dog for company. He is very good on the lead but can sometimes be a little bit overzealous in his affections so he will need a little bit of training in this regard with his new family. He would be good in a family environment with children who understand and respect dogs. As he is a restricted breed in Ireland his new owners must be familiar and compliant with the law surrounding this kind of dog. Ray is ready to start a life full of love and happiness; could you give him that life?

Ruby

Ruby

Ruby is a very alert, forward and friendly girl. She is very excited to meet new people and will make a great pet. She does get on with other dogs so could go to a home with an existing pet but she would also love to be an only pet with all the cuddles and attention to herself. Ruby is currently undergoing house training and this will need to be continued with her new owners. She walks well on the lead and will be a wonderful companion. She needs to be an indoor dog with access to a secure garden for playtime. Ruby is a long-haired dog and so will require daily brushing and regular professional grooming. Ruby will undoubtedly make a fantastic pet despite the hardship she has endured so far in her life. Will you be her new best friend?

Chewbacca

Chewbacca

Chewy is a little pony with a big personality! He was rescued from a group of much larger horses and had suffered severe injuries from another stallion. He was rescued by one of our inspectors and quickly settled into the stables while receiving treatment. Now fully recovered he spends his days in the company of our resident goats, attempting to scrounge treats from whoever happens to be passing. He is very manageable; he stands for vet, farrier and dentist, and he would suit a home where he has another pony or donkey of similar size or temperament for company.

Leroy

Leroy

LEROY is a very friendly Staffie x, aged about two, who is looking for a family to lick!! If you could offer Leroy a HOME, please get in touch by calling/texting 087 9133923 (reasonable hours only), private messaging us via Facebook or emailing .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Leroy is a big bouncy boy who just wants to be your friend and cover you in licks and kisses. He came into our care with a slight wound on the top of his head but otherwise in good condition and he is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed. He is a very friendly boy who mixes well with other dogs at our KWWSPCA shelter. He is quite strong so will need a confident handler, and probably wouldn’t suit a house with very young children as he is just such a bouncy, energetic boy. He loves his walks and will need plenty of exercise and a secure garden is a must. A home check will be required once Leroy is booked, and we ask for a rehoming fee of €100 to partly off-set our veterinary and other costs.

Nelson

Nelson

Nelson came into the care of the KWWSPCA several months ago as a horrific cruelty case, one of the most emaciated dogs that we have ever seen. The poor boy was literally skin and bones, with sorrowful eyes that simply melted your heart. He had been tied up without access to any food or water for a good while, and would have soon starved to death but for being rescued by some good Samaritans who brought him to our care. He has put back on nearly all his lost weight and has been getting lots of TLC from all the volunteers at our shelter, although he is still quite nervous around any strangers. However he is improving day by day and is beginning to get his confidence back. Nelson has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and is now ready for a new home. While he mixes well with other dogs and is a very gentle soul but we would not recommend him to a home with cats. If you would like to find out more about Nelson, please private message our Facebook page, call/text 087 9133923 (reasonable hours only please) or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Harley

Harley

Harley is a fantastic older guy who is still very full of life and energy. He would suit an active retired couple who have plenty of time to spend walking him and playing with him. He would be ideal as a single pet but does get on with other dogs too. He adores playing ball and will make a very fun guy in the right home. He is house trained and walks relatively well on the lead though he does have a tendency to pull when he first sets out for his walk. He will need a secure garden in his new home and would love to have someone with him for company most of the day. Gorgeous Harley has lots of love to give and his playful and bright personality make him an excellent pet. Harley was signed over to our Inspector as his owners were not grooming him at all and as a result of years of neglect he was suffering under his thick matted coat. He was rehomed but unfortunately his new owners had a change of circumstance and he had to be returned.

Nidge

Nidge

Nidge is terribly cute and will make a great pet given some time. Because of his background he can be a little shy of people but has come on leaps and bounds with constant socialisation since he has been in our care. He needs a home that understands dogs and are willing to be patient with him while he develops his confidence. Ideally he would like to be rehomed with the company of another friendly dog but he could also go to the right home as a single pet. He must be an indoor dog with access to a secure garden for playtime and toileting. Nidge has been through a lot of hardship in his short life and it has taken its toll. Could you be the one to give a puppy an understanding and loving new start?

Zeus Almighty

Zeus Almighty

Zeus Almighty is a very sweet and friendly young boy. He is eager for praise and attention and will be a fantastic pet given a bit of time and training. He is still very puppy-like in his behaviour and will need an experienced hand to help mould him into his full potential. He could be rehomed to a family with older children who are used to dogs or to an adult only home. He could also be rehomed with another friendly dog or as a single dog provided he is given plenty of attention and exercise. He is a high energy breed so will need an active home and secure fencing in the garden is a must. Zeus Almighty hasn’t had a good start in life but his affectionate and sociable nature shines through. Could you be the one to make sure his life only gets better from here?

Gail

Gail

Gail is a friendly lady who would love a new home to call her own. She adores people and will make a fantastic, loving pet for almost any home. She is good with other dogs and could be rehomed with another friendly dog but she could also be a single pet provided she gets all the attention and stimulation she needs from her new owners. We would love Gail to be an indoor dog living the life of luxury. She is already house trained and walks relatively well on the lead though she needs a little bit of work in this regard. A securely fenced garden is a must for Gail and her new owners must be aware of and compliant with the law surrounding restricted breeds like her. She will make a fantastic pet and really deserves a second chance; will you give that to her?

Velvet and Omar

Velvet and Omar

Velvet and Omar are two fabulous dogs. They are friendly and affectionate and will make fantastic pets. They need a home together as they are so bonded. Secure fencing is a must in their new home and plenty of exercise. These two may not be suitable in a home with very young children due to Omar’s amputation and as they can be bouncy. Their house and lead training will need continuation with their new owners. We are sure that Velvet and Omar will make loving and devoted pets to a lucky new owner. Velvet and Omar were rescued together from a property where their living conditions were very substandard. Omar had an old injury to his back leg that had healed wrong and become deformed. On veterinary advice, his leg was amputated after he came into our care and he is adapting brilliantly to life on three legs.

Ebony

Ebony

Ebony is a lovely young girl who is full of life and love. She adores people and just wants attention from them all the time. She is very puppy-like in many ways and is just so adorable. She will need a home with an active family where she is not left alone for long periods of time and where she is treated as a family member. Ebony would be happy to be rehomed with another friendly, well-mannered dog to learn from. She loves playing with her toys and people and will be a really fun pet. A cat free home would be advisable for Ebony. She will need some basic obedience work as she has a tendency to get over excited and jump up sometimes but this will not be hard as she is a very intelligent girl. Once you meet her you will fall in love with her sweet and affectionate nature. Do you have space in your heart for Ebony?

Carl

Carl is a very handsome and headstrong young puppy. He is super friendly with everyone he meets and will try to get away with murder if you let him! He will undoubtedly bring a lot of fun and laughter to his adopters. Carl would benefit from the company of a friendly and well mannered dog in his new home to show him how to behave and adopters who will give the time necessary to train and raise a puppy the right way. He will be great in a family who is used to dogs and mischievous antics. Carl walks well on the lead but will naturally need continued house training in his new home. Conan

Conan is an adorable little pup just bursting with love and affection. He is very friendly with all the people and other dogs he meets and will be an ideal first dog for a family. Being a puppy he mustn’t be left on his own for long periods of time and will need ongoing house and obedience training with his adopters. He can be rehomed with another dog but could also be a single family pet. Conan walks very well on the lead and is a responsive little guy so has massive potential to be the perfect pet. Bobby

Bobby is a very friendly and affectionate boy. He walks very well on the lead and is house trained. He would love a home where he can curl up on the couch and be spoiled rotten by his new family. He is good with other dogs but he does love his food and sometimes gets a bit possessive of it. Bobby will need a securely fenced garden in his new home and plenty of walks and playtime with his new owners. He would love to be allowed to sleep inside as he is such a pet and will be a fantastic addition to the family. Because he is a restricted breed in Ireland his new owners will need to comply with the laws surrounding his breed. Bobby would really love a new life and home; will you be the one to give him that?

Solar and Fluffy

Solar and Fluffy

Solar and Fluffy are stunning girls looking for a retirement home together. They must be rehomed together as they have lived together all their lives. They are great dogs with lovely temperaments and would be ideal for an older active couple. They are available under the Cara Programme for persons over 65. They will require a secure garden with a good amount of exercise. They have lived with other dogs and cats and could be rehomed to a household with existing pets. Solar and Fluffy will make brilliant pets and companions in their new home. Are you willing to give them the home they deserve? Suki

Suki is a stunning dog looking for a loving new home. She adores people and is super affectionate with everyone she meets. Suki would love a home where she can get all the love and attention she craves. She is great with kids and will be perfect in a family home. She is nearly house trained but requires a little bit more work on the lead. Suki needs new owners who are familiar with her breed and the legal restrictions surrounding ownership of such a dog. She loves her walks and getting out and about and is a very outgoing girl. She is bound to settle in fabulously to any home. Suki will be a great family companion; do you have space in your home and heart for her? BACKGROUND: Suki came to the ISPCA from a member of our Inspectorate. Sophie

Sophie

Sophie came to us at the KWWSPCA in poor condition; she was quite thin and had mange. She’s completely recovered now and is a wonderful girl. She is extremely affectionate and loves to sit on your lap for cuddles and rubs. She loves other dogs & is always cuddling up to the other dogs in their beds to have a snuggle. She is extremely fast & loves a walk & a run but for the rest of the day she’s happy to curl up on the sofa, on your lap or in her bed. Sophie is almost completely house trained now. She must be an indoor dog and you need a very secure garden as she is an extremely good climber. However, once she settles in she doesn’t feel the need to leave your side. She’s a very sweet, affectionate girl and would make a super family pet. She is used to having someone around a lot so she would need a home where there is someone at home for at least part of the day. Sophie is in a foster home so if you would like to arrange a visit please call or text 087 9133923 – reasonable hours only. She is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated & wormed. Sophie deserves a 5 star family home so please SHARE this post to help her find her forever family.

Robin is a fun little lady looking for a active family to take her home. She is very sweet and loves meeting people. She would suit a family who love the great outdoors and would love a little Russell to join their family. She will require a secure garden and lots of exercise, play and mental stimulation. If you can provide her with these she will give you back tenfold all the love she has to offer.

Bertie

Bertie

Some dogs break our hearts when they came into our care at the KWWSPCA and that is certainly the case with Bertie - aged about seven, he came to us from Kildare Dog Pound and the poor boy looks so bewildered to have been abandoned at this stage of his life. He keeps his head to the ground. his coat isn't in great condition and there is a sadness in his eyes. He is beginning to respond to all the affection he is getting at our shelter, but he still seems to find it strange that anyone should show him love. We would so like to get him into a lovely warm home as soon as possible so that he can receive the individual attention he so deserves and needs. We are sure Bertie has so much love still to give and he will make someone a wonderfully loyal and kind companion. No doubt he will still like regular walks and hopefully a lovely warm fire to snuggle up in front of. If you could provide that special place for Bertie to call his home, please get in touch - private message us or call/text 087 9133923. He is neutered, vaccinated and chipped, A home check will be required.

Rooney

Rooney

Rooney is a typically friendly Staffie who just wants to cover you with licks and kisses, and jump up to give you a hug. He has a lovely temperament and lets out lovely low grunts of appreciation when you rub him behind his ears! He is aged about two to three and a big, strong boy who pulls hard on the lead. He will therefore need some lead training but he is very obedient and clever, quickly learning basic commands. He has shared his kennel happily with both a female husky and another male staffie, and he seems to mix well with all other dogs. He could be rehomed with other similar sized dogs or as an only dog. He might not suit a home with very young children just because of his size and bounciness. Rooney is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and wormed, and is available for immediate re-homing. If you would like more information about ROONEY or want to offer him a loving home, then please private message us through our Facebook page, call/text 087 9133923 (reasonable hours only) or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) .We ask for a rehoming fee of €100 when we rehome a dog to partly offset their veterinary and other costs and a home check is required.

Cindy Clawford

Cindy Clawford

Cindy Clawford is a stunning girl. She was almost feral when she first arrived at the centre and we didn’t think there was much chance of her getting a home so she was neutered and released on site. However, since being released her temperament has u-turned and she is now the friendliest and most affectionate cat. She loves people and is great with other cats so she could fit into almost any home. Cindy would like an indoor home with access outside during the day once she has settled in. She only has one eye so she will need to be kept inside at night but we don’t think she will mind this once she has a warm and comfy bed to snooze in. Cindy Clawford and several other cats were removed form a property by a member of our Inspectorate. They had been locked in an abandoned house and left to starve. On arrival they were emaciated but all recovered well with good food and medical care.

Simba

Simba is a gorgeous big boy looking for a wonderful family to finally give him the love and affection he craves and deserves. He is such a gentle, sweet boy, you could not but love him. He loves other dogs and will fit in well to a home with another dog for company, equally he could be a single pet provided he is not left alone for prolonged periods. He will require a garden with secure fencing and a experienced owner would be ideal. He is a little strong on lead at times but is receiving training in our care. He is fantastic off lead, and thoroughly enjoys a good stretch of the legs. Can you offer this gorgeous boy his forever home?

Oscar

Oscar

Oscar is a beautiful medium-sized dog. He is very energetic and loves people. He gets on with most dogs and would like a canine companion in his new home. He would suit an active household with teenagers or no children and secure fencing is a must. Oscar is undergoing house and lead training at the moment but this will obviously need continuing with his new owners. He is a great dog that will bring lots of fun and affection to his new family. Oscar is one of a group of dogs that were signed over to a member of our Inspectorate. A well meaning individual had taken these dogs and more into her care after they found themselves in need of homes but the number of dogs in their possession quickly got out of hand so the ISPCA stepped in to assist the dogs.

Conor

Conor

Conor is a fabulous medium sized dog. He is very friendly and energetic and would suit a family home that is used to dogs. He is full of energy and life and will be a really fun pet. He does sometimes have a tendency to jump up when he is over-excited but with a little bit of training in his new home it will be easy to break this habit. He is good with other dogs and loves to play. He walks well on the lead and is clean in his kennel so it will not take much to reinforce his house training in a new home. Conor is a fabulous guy who will thrive with a loving family to call his own.

Sally

Sally

Sally is a gorgeous lady looking for her own second chance. She is very sweet and gentle, loves the company of other dogs and would love a home with a canine companion. She is good off lead once she gets to know you and walks relatively well on lead though she can sometimes pull. She will make a fantastic family pet and is patiently waiting for the right family to call her own. She has been around cattle and not shown much interest. She will need on-going house and obedience training and plenty of exercise and stimulation in her new home and secure fencing in the garden is a must. She has been through so much she deserves to finally find her own forever home soon.

Glenda

Glenda

Glenda is a stunning little girl who is sadly very wary around people. She needs another kitten or cat for company and support in her new home but we are sure that if she is shown some love and a little bit of patience with her new owners she will turn into a very loyal and affectionate adult cat. Glenda would suit an adult only home or a family with older children. She is very playful and will be a very fun and entertaining addition to the household. Glenda and another kitten, Slick, were found alone and abandoned by a member of the public who contacted the ISPCA. Thankfully we had space to take them in and give them a fresh start.

Ashra

Ashra

Ashra is a very gentle but timid kitten. Due to her background she does not have a lot of trust in humans and is looking for some patient and loving owners to help show her that we are not all bad. Given some time and space in a new home she is bound to become a loyal and affectionate adult. We would like her to be rehomed with one of her more confident pod-mates to give her a bit of guidance and support in her new environment. Like all kittens she is very playful and likes nothing more than dashing around her pod with her toys and the other kittens. Ashra is one of a group of kittens brought to the National Animal Centre by one of our Inspectors. All were suffering with very severe cat flu on arrival and it was touch or go whether they would survive. Thankfully they all pulled through and are now ready for adoption.

Oliver

Oliver

Oliver is a mischievous little lad looking for a family to love him. He will be a indoor pet, preferably until he is neutered, after which he can have access to outside where he can hunt his little paws off. He will fit in well to a home with another kitten or playful cat for company. We would love to see him rehomed with his buddy Mr Purr as they have such a blast playing and adore each others company. He litter trained, social with other cats. He is in good health, is vaccinated and treated for parasites and is now ready to find his family to love him. He will make a wonderful family pet Have you room in your home for this little heartbreaker?

Norman

Norman

Norman is a stunning black kitten who is unfortunately very wary of people. He will need an outdoor home where he is free to do his own thing and come and go as he wishes. Given time he may come around to people and become an affectionate pet. He would love to have another friendly cat or kitten to keep him company in his new home. Norman will need somewhere safe, warm and dry to sleep as well as good quality cat food to keep him healthy but otherwise will be a very easy and undemanding cat to have around the place. He will need to be kept secure until he has been neutered at around 6 months of age. Do you have the right home for Norman?

Ted

Ted

Ted is almost one year old now, fully vaccinated, neutered and micro chipped. Ted came from a horrendous background where he had been badly beaten; this has left Ted with some behavior issues. We are looking for a home for him where he will be the only animal in the house, also a home with no children as Ted’s behavioral issues can escalate when there are people around. In introducing him to people he would need to be on a lead and when his behavior gets out of hand can be put somewhere quite on his own. Ted will need someone who has experience of young dogs with behavior problems and who will not give up on him when he gets out of hand. It will take a long time for him to trust someone and we feel that in the right home and with an experienced owner, with time for Ted that he will do well.

Honey

Honey

Honey is such a sweet and gentle girl. She loves getting cuddles and attention from people and will be a fantastic, loyal pet for her new owners. She could be rehomed with another dog that she likes and is happy with but would do well as a single pet too. She walks excellently on the lead and is a bright girl so will be easy to house and obedience train. Honey would love to be an indoor dog experiencing the luxury she has probably never had in her life before and will need a securely fenced garden that she can play games in safely. She is a little bit stressed out in the kennel but once you take her on a walk her affectionate and loving personality shines through. Could Honey be the one for you?

Milo

Milo

Milo came into the care of the KWWSPCA when he was found half-starved and abandoned as a very young dog. After initially recuperating at our animal shelter, Milo went into foster care where he has been given a lot of love and attention, and he is now fit and well and looking for a new home. Milo would definitely suit a home with another dog as he really enjoys canine company. He is good on and off the lead. Because of his size he would be better suited to a home with older children. Milo has been neutered, vaccinated,, microchipped and wormed. If you could offer him a good home, or if you would like to find out more about him, please private message the KWWSPCA Facebook page, call 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). We ask for a re-homing fee of €100 when we re-home a dog to partly offset their veterinary and other costs.

HARVEY

HARVEY

Harvey has come into the care of the KWWSPCA from the Kildare Dog Pound. When he first came into the Shelter he was very nervous and from his reactions had obviously been mistreated in his former home. But he has settled in well, is much more confident now and has got used to being handled and taken for walks. He is quite a large dog and is good on the lead. He is an intelligent, active dog and would benefit from on-going training and someone who could be at home with him, at least for part of each day. Harvey has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you would like to find out more about Harvey or offer him a home, please call 087 9133923 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). We ask for a rehoming fee of €100 when we rehome a dog to partly cover their veterinary and other costs, and a home check is required. You can also visit him at our Shelter near Athgarvan from 2.00 - 4.00 any day apart from Sundays without a prior appointment.

SETH

SETH

Seth came into the care of the KWWSPCA as a result of a cruelty case. He was found abandoned when his owners moved house and left him behind. He was very thin, very anxious and in need proper grooming. He is now in great condition and ready for a new home. He is good on the lead, but quite strong. He would suit a home where there are no other male dogs as he does sometimes have issues with male dogs, and where the owners are used to the breed or to active large dogs. If you would like to find out more about Seth, please call 087 9133923 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Spike

Spike

1 left to rehome!! These puppies are utterly adorable. They are very well socialised with people and will make fantastic family pets. Naturally they will need ongoing house and lead training but they are really bright sparks and it shouldn’t take them long. Because they are puppies they will need indoor homes with access to a secure garden to run and play in. They would love to be rehomed in pairs or with another friendly dog for company but they can also be single pets provided they are given plenty of attention and not left alone for long periods of time. They will make fantastic pets in any home and once you meet them you are bound to fall in love.

Jane

Jane

Jane is an all round beauty with a friendly, kind nature. She has obviously been quite badly neglected in the past because her teeth aren’t in great condition and she has quite a few old body scars, but she is a happy, gentle soul who mixes well with other dogs, really enjoys her walks and is good on the lead. In fact, she is very well behaved in general and will make someone a wonderful pet. She has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. A secure garden is a must, and a home check will be required.
