Enola is a very pretty and playful kitten. She likes affection on her own terms and needs a laid back home with older children or adults only. She would thrive if she was rehomed with one of the kittens from her pod or where there is an existing sociable cat or kitten. Enola would preferably be an indoor cat who can explore outside to her heart’s content once she is comfortable in her new environment and has been neutered. She will make a very easy and undemanding addition to the household. Enola was the product of an accidental litter. Her mother’s owners contacted the ISPCA for assistance and were placed on our long waiting list. They managed to home 2 of Enola’s siblings themselves and had her mother neutered as soon as the kittens were weaned. When we had the space Enola was admitted to the centre with a donation towards her care.

Enola is currently in the care of the ISPCA National Animal Centre

Duchess is a lovable little lady. She is so sweet she will make a wonderful family pet. She would fit in well to a home with children and equally she would be a fantastic companion for a retired person. She would love nothing better than a comfy bed in front of the fire and lots of delicious treats. She will need daily grooming but she quite likes it and so long as her coat in maintained, she is happy. She likes having all the attention to herself so would suit being the only pet in the household. She loves her home comforts and will best suit a home where she can be indoors most of the time and esp at night, with access to outside during the day after she settles in. She is fully vaccinated, neutered and treated for parasites. She is now ready to go home and start her new life. Can you find room in your home and heart for this beautiful girl?

Sally is a gorgeous lady looking for her own second chance. She is very sweet and gentle, she loves the company of other dogs and would love a home with a canine companion. She walks well on lead and is good off lead, she would make a fantastic family pet. She will need on-going house and obedience training and plenty of exercise and stimulation in her new home. Secure fencing is a must. She has been through so much she deserves to finally find her own forever home soon. Sally and her siblings were originally brought in by ISPCA by one of our Inspectors with their mother Cotton, their owner was not giving them the care they needed. She was adopted but unfortunately her new home was not suitable and didn't provide her with the home she needed.

Geri is a stunning lady who is very loving and affectionate. She will need another friendly dog for company in her new home as she loves other dogs and isn’t happy without a companion. While she is middle aged she still has plenty of energy and life in her and will be a super pet. She absolutely loves her toys, especially chasing after tennis balls. She is house trained and walks well on the lead and it will no doubt take her no time at all to settle into a new home. Geri is a ready made pet and would love to go to a new home as soon as possible. Will you love her and give her the life she deserves for the rest of her life?

Velvet and Omar

Velvet and Omar

Velvet and Omar are two fabulous dogs. They are friendly and affectionate and will make fantastic pets. They need a home together as they are so bonded. Secure fencing is a must in their new home and plenty of exercise. These two may not be suitable in a home with very young children due to Omar’s amputation and as they can be bouncy. Their house and lead training will need continuation with their new owners. We are sure that Velvet and Omar will make loving and devoted pets to a lucky new owner. Velvet and Omar were rescued together from a property where their living conditions were very substandard. Omar had an old injury to his back leg that had healed wrong and become deformed. On veterinary advice, his leg was amputated after he came into our care and he is adapting brilliantly to life on three legs.

Leroy

Leroy

Leroy is a magnificent dog; extremely friendly and gentle. He is such a character and is sure to bring a smile to your face with his antics. He is very food oriented and so will be easy to train in his new home. He is undergoing testing with other dogs at the moment and has been great so far so he could be rehomed with another easy going dog or as a single pet since we are sure he would love all the cuddles and attention to himself! Leroy is very good on the lead but because of his size he will need a strong handler who can control him effectively. His new owners will need to have experience with this breed and be familiar with the laws surrounding restricted breeds in Ireland. Leroy is such a fantastic, easy going and loveable man; will you give him the second chance he needs? Leroy was surrendered to the ISPCA because he was not receiving appropriate care and socialisation.

Maxine

Maxine is a cute little girl who will thrive in a quiet home with lots of love and affection. She is a little timid at the moment but has come on leaps and bounds since she arrived and once she has settled into a new home she is sure to become a very loving pet. She is very nearly house trained but will require more lead training with her new owners. There must be secure fencing in her new home and she would get on well with another small dog for company however this is not essential. Do you have space in your home and heart for Maxine? Maxine and five other Pomeranians were seized from a puppy farm where they kept confined and used as breeding machines.

Solar and Fluffy

Solar and Fluffy

Solar and Fluffy are stunning girls looking for a retirement home together. They must be rehomed together as they have lived together all their lives. They are great dogs with lovely temperaments and would be ideal for an older active couple. They are available under the Cara Programme for persons over 65. They will require a secure garden with a good amount of exercise. They have lived with other dogs and cats and could be rehomed to a household with existing pets. Solar and Fluffy will make brilliant pets and companions in their new home. Are you willing to give them the home they deserve? Solar and Fluffy were signed over to a member of our Inspectorate after they were found to be living in unsuitable circumstances.

Lewis

Lewis

Lewis is a lovely boy. He adores playing with and snuggling up to his siblings. While he is a little bit shy of people at the moment due to his difficult start in life we are sure with a little bit of time and patience in his new home he will grow into a loving adult cat. It would be great for him to be rehomed as an indoor cat with access outside when he wants to but he could be an outdoor-only cat once he has been neutered provided he has a safe, dry and warm bed and is well fed. We would like Lewis to be rehomed with one his brother Damon to give him a play-mate and the support he needs to find his feet in a new home. Poor Lewis has been looking for a home since he was a very young kitten; will you be the person to finally give him the home he deserves? Lewis, his siblings and his mother were callously dumped and left to fend for themselves when the kittens were just a few weeks old.

Damon

Damon is quite a timid boy who would suit an undemanding home where he can do his own thing. He would be an excellent mouser and it would be great for him to be rehomed with his brother Lewis for company. He loves to play and is very inquisitive when he has new toys in his pod. He is sure to come around and become a very friendly cat in his new home. He will need to be kept inside in his new home for at least 2 weeks until he has settled but after that he would love to be allowed to venture outside and explore. Damon and has been in the cattery since he was very small; will you give Damon a chance to become the happy, relaxed cat he has the potential to be? Denis

Denis

Denis is a gorgeous young cat. He is very social with other cats and we would love for him to go to a home with another friendly cat to give him some company and confidence. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances from which he was rescued, he is a little wary of strangers but he has come on leaps and bounds in our care and is now a very affectionate cat with people that he knows. Denis would suit either an indoor home with the opportunity to explore outside during the day once he has settled in or an outdoor home provided he is well-fed and has a safe, warm and dry bed to curl up in. Denis was brought to the centre along with a number of other cats by a member of our Inspectorate. All the cats were being neglected and kept in unsuitably small cages with very little room to move around or human socialisation.

Peggy Sue

Peggy Sue

Peggy Sue is a fantastic little lady looking for her own forever home. She is confused and scared so her ideal home will be with adults or older kids who can give her a quiet home where she can come out of her shell. She has already become more trusting and will a little TLC she will make a great addition to her new home. She would thrive quicker if she could be rehomed with one of the kittens from her pod for company or with a existing confident cat. She loves to play with her toys and the other kittens and will make a very fun pet if given the time and space she needs to settle down. Peggy Sue and her 3 siblings were dumped in the garden of a member of public. The homeowner’s dog found them and unfortunately killed one of the kittens before she could save it. Thankfully the other 4 were unscathed and the owner kept them safe until there was a spot available to admit them. This kind lady left a donation for their care.

Dixie

Dixie

Dixie is a gorgeous and active girl. She loves playing with her toys, particularly tennis balls, and would make a super fun pet. She has loads of potential and is such a bright spark; she will be easy to train and we think she’d be great at agility. She needs new owners who will be able to channel her energy into something constructive and she’d love a new family who are active and outside a lot who will be able to take Dixie with them on fun activities. Dixie will undoubtedly form a strong bond with her new owners and become a cherished member of the family in no time at all. Could you give her the fun home life she deserves after all the hardship she’s been through? Dixie and another dog, Honey, came to the NAC from one of our Inspectors. The poor girls had been neglected and were suffering terribly from mange. Thankfully, after intensive treatment they recovered very well.

Teddy

Teddy

Teddy is a very friendly and affectionate boy. As his name suggests, he is a big teddy bear full of love for everyone he meets. He has great potential but will need some ongoing basic training with his new owners as he can sometimes be a bit over the top in his affections. He must have a secure garden to play and burn off energy in and will need new owners who are familiar with his breed and the restrictions around owning and caring for Rottweilers. He walks relatively well on the lead and has started his house training here but this will need to be continued in his new home. Teddy is a super dog who will make a great pet in almost any household. He’s had a truly awful start in life but this hasn’t affected his personality at all; could you love Teddy as much as he will love you? The ISPCA was alerted to the case of Teddy and Ray, another Rottweiler, via our Cruelty Helpline. The dogs were living in very poor conditions and both were emaciated so they were taken into the care of the ISPCA.

Bella

Bella

Bella is a gorgeous little lady looking for her own family to love her. She is currently nursing kittens and is a fantastic mother. She is so sweet and will make a wonderful pet. She would be a lovely companion for a retired person looking for some feline company. We would love her to be rehomed in a home that can offer her lots of attention. Bella is an indoor cat but would like access to outdoors during the day. She is social with other cats and kittens but is also very happy to be on her own. She is litter trained and very clean and will be ready for a new home once her kittens are weaned and she has been neutered. Bella was abandoned like so many cats and kittens all around the country. Thankfully she was reported abandoned and on investigation an inspectorate brought her to the centre where she subsequently gave birth to a litter of kittens.

Glenda is a stunning little girl who is sadly very wary around people. Slick

Slick

Slick is a very handsome kitten. Unfortunately, no doubt due to his previous life, he is very wary of people. He will need a relaxed new home, preferably with all adults or with older children, where he can come around in his own time. We are confident that with a little bit of love and plenty of play-time that Slick will gain in confidence around humans and become an affectionate pet. He is very social with other cats and would like to be homed with one of the kittens from his pod or where there is already a sociable cat or kitten. We would love for her to be rehomed with one of her pod-mates for company and to give her a little bit of support. She would be suited to an outdoor home once she is neutered as long as she is provided with good food and a safe, warm bed to curl up in but it would be nice for her to have the option to come indoors also. Callie is one of a group of kittens brought to the National Animal Centre by one of our Inspectors. All were suffering with very severe cat flu on arrival and it was touch or go whether they would survive. Thankfully they all pulled through and are now ready for adoption.

Callie is currently in the care of the ISPCA National Animal Centre

Ashra

Ashra

Ashra is a very gentle but timid kitten. Due to her background she does not have a lot of trust in humans and is looking for some patient and loving owners to help show her that we are not all bad. Given some time and space in a new home she is bound to become a loyal and affectionate adult. We would like her to be rehomed with one of her more confident pod-mates to give her a bit of guidance and support in her new environment. Like all kittens she is very playful and likes nothing more than dashing around her pod with her toys and the other kittens. Ashra is one of a group of kittens brought to the National Animal Centre by one of our Inspectors. All were suffering with very severe cat flu on arrival and it was touch or go whether they would survive. Thankfully they all pulled through and are now ready for adoption.

Kate

Kate

Kate is a really sweet and affectionate young cat. She is a real lap cat and loves to be cuddled. She would be a fantastic companion for a single person or a great family pet. She needs to be an indoor pet, perhaps with access outside during the day once she has settled into a new home. If you’re looking for an affectionate, loving cat then Kate is definitely for you. Kate and 9 other cats were seized from a property by a member of our Inspectorate. All the cats had been badly neglected and were severely emaciated on arrival but after several weeks with a proper diet and lots of TLC they are ready to be rehomed.

Naomi Catbell

Naomi Catbell

Naomi Catbell is a stunning girl. She is a little shy at present, no doubt because of the way she was treated prior to arriving at the NAC. However, she is very interested in her surroundings and with the company of another cat in her new home it will not take her long to come around to her new owners. She would do best in a quiet home with no young children and would be suited to and indoor or an outdoor home as long as she is well fed and has a safe, warm bed to curl up in. Naomi Catbell has had the worst possible start to life; could you show her how life is meant to be? Naomi Catbell and 9 other cats were seized from a property by a member of our Inspectorate. Fern

Fern

Fern is a beautiful Springer looking for an experienced home. She will require ongoing obedience training and needs an adult only home that is used to dogs as she is not completely certain of some people. When she first arrived she was very flighty and unpredictable but she has come on a sight since being in the care of the dedicated staff here. She is now a friendly girl who walks well on the lead and is social with other dogs. Fern loves to play with her toys and swimming is her favourite hobby. Are you the experienced dog-owner that Fern is looking for to give her a new start? Fern was surrendered to the ISPCA after she was found living in poor conditions and not receiving the kind of stimulation and socialisation a dog of this breed needs.

Ellie May

Ellie May

Ellie May is a gorgeous, sensitive little lady. She is very sweet and kind and will make a wonderful pet. She gets on with other friendly dogs and would suit a home with another canine companion or on her own in an environment where she gets lots of love and attention. She walks beautifully on lead and is currently in the process of house training but this may require a little bit of reinforcement with her adopters. She would be good with children who are kind to her and all in all would make a great family dog. Ellie May loves to play when she is in the right mood and loves cuddles and fuss just as much. Could you be Ellie May’s dream adopters?

Carl

Carl

Carl is a very handsome and headstrong young puppy. He is super friendly with everyone he meets and will try to get away with murder if you let him! He will undoubtedly bring a lot of fun and laughter to his adopters. Carl would benefit from the company of a friendly and well mannered dog in his new home to show him how to behave and adopters who will give the time necessary to train and raise a puppy the right way. He will be great in a family who is used to dogs and mischievous antics. Carl walks well on the lead but will naturally need continued house training in his new home. Are you ready for the smiles and fun Carl will bring to your home?

Conan

Conan

Conan is an adorable little pup just bursting with love and affection. He is very friendly with all the people and other dogs he meets and will be an ideal first dog for a family. Being a puppy he mustn’t be left on his own for long periods of time and will need ongoing house and obedience training with his adopters. He can be rehomed with another dog but could also be a single family pet. Conan walks very well on the lead and is a responsive little guy so has massive potential to be the perfect pet. Robin

Robin

Robin is a fun little lady looking for a active family to take her home. She is very sweet and loves meeting people. She would suit a family who love the great outdoors and would love a little Russell to join their family. She is good with other dogs and could fit in well to a home with another dog provided they are properly introduced & tested at the NAC first. She will require a secure garden and lots of exercise, play and mental stimulation. If you can provide her with these she will give you back tenfold all the love she has to offer.

Claus

Claus

Claus is a gorgeous big boy looking for a active family to take him home. He is big lad, full of beans and will require a home with experience of these breeds. He loves people and will adore a home where he has lots of human interaction and hopefully the company of another dog to rough and tumble with. He is quite strong and foolish and would be better suited in a home with older children. He will require on-going obedience training but this fine boy has huge potential and will make some lucky family very happy indeed. Claus was removed from a property with 3 other dogs. They were fed alright but they were individually tied up outside without adequate shelter and had little or no interaction or exercise.

Aurora

Aurora

AURORA is a beautiful, female husky, aged about one. She is quite shy and is somewhat overwhelmed at being in our KWWSPCA Animal Shelter. We would really like to find her a warm, loving home as quickly as possible. She has been wormed and vaccinated, and she will be neutered shortly. Huskies do require a lot of exercise so experience of the breed (or similar) would be preferable. A home check will be required and a secure garden is a priority. If you would like to find out more about Aurora or offer her a home, please call/text 087 9133923 (reasonable hours only), private message us through the KWWSPCA Facebook page or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) . Hollie

Hollie

Hollie is a big playful girl who would suit someone with experience of a large breed. She has been used to living outdoors but enjoys her creature comforts too. She loves her walk but still requires some lead training as she can pull quite hard. She is very loving, looking to jump up and cover you in kisses, and acts like a boisterous puppy, always wanting to play and roll over on her back for rubs. She has mixed well with the other dogs here at the shelter so far and would probably suit being with another dog for company. She will need to live in a home with a secure garden, and a home check will be required. Jess

Jess

Jess came into the care of the KWWSPCA recently after being found abandoned and tied to a tree. After initially being understandably very nervous and frightened, Jess has responded so well to all the attention and affection she has been receiving and is now such a happy girl. She is an absolute sweetheart, full of love and the friendliest dog you could ever meet, so how anyone could dump her and treat her with such callousness is unbelievable. She mixes and plays well with the other dogs, enjoys her walks on the lead and is obedient and well behaved. It will be a couple of weeks before she is ready to go to a new home, as she will need to complete her vaccinations and be neutered, but she is now available to be booked. Conor

Conor

Conor is a fabulous medium sized dog. He is very friendly and energetic and would suit a family home that is used to dogs. He is full of energy and life and will be a really fun pet. He does sometimes have a tendency to jump up when he is over-excited but with a little bit of training in his new home it will be easy to break this habit. He is good with other dogs and loves to play. He walks well on the lead and is clean in his kennel so it will not take much to reinforce his house training in a new home. Conor is a fabulous guy who will thrive with a loving family to call his own.

Ash

Ash

Ash is a lovely young dog. He is a little reserved at present but is coming out of his shell with socialisation in the kennels. He will require an active home with secure fencing and owners who are willing to give him the time he needs to settle into a new environment. He would be best suited to a moderately active home with only adults or a family with older kids. He gets on fabulously with other dogs but could be a single dog provided he has company most of the time. Ash deserves a new home that can show him what life is all about; can you give that to him? Ash and several other dogs were seized by a member of our Inspectorate. They were all physically well looked after but had begun to breed uncontrollably and so for their best interests they were taken into the care of the ISPCA.

Barkley

Barkley

Barkley is a really confident and affectionate young man. He would be a superb pet for a family with children of any ages because he is such an easy going and affectionate boy. He walks well on the lead and loves to play also. He is undergoing house training currently but this will need to be continued with his new owners in his home. We expect Barkley to be very easy to train and will make a fantastic pet when he grows up. He will need to be an inside dog due to his age and size and will steal your heart as soon as you meet him. He is friendly with other dogs so could be rehomed in a multi-pet household however he will do just as well on his own provided he is not left without attention for long periods of time. Barkley is a real stunner; have you space in your home for this little dog? Barkley and several other puppies were seized from Ballinasloe Fair by our Inspectorate. The poor puppies were suffering huge parasite burdens and had not been well cared for in their short lives.

Buttons

Buttons is a happy and friendly little puppy. She will be a fantastic pet for a family and not grow to be very big. She walks very well on the lead and is currently undergoing house training but this will of course need to be continued with her new owners. Buttons gets on well with other dogs so could go to a home where there is already an existing friendly dog but she may also be rehomed as a single pet provided she is not left on her own for long periods. She has the potential to be a great pet because she is so friendly towards people and well socialised. Obedience training with her new owners would be beneficial to ensure she reaches her full potential. Buttons is a faultless little puppy who would be a great fit for almost any home. Buttons was removed by our Inspectorate from Ballinasloe Fair. She had been put up for sale while suffering from mange which hadn’t received veterinary attention.

Betty Jane

Betty Jane is a very friendly and affectionate young puppy. She will make a fabulous addition to the family and a great pet. Kitty Cole

Kitty Cole

Kitty Cole is an elegant and very friendly black cat. She loves attention from staff and members of the public alike and will be a brilliant family pet. She would be suitable as a single cat but is also very sociable with other cats so could be part of a multi-pet household. Kitty Cole has such a sweet and fun personality she is bound to bring a lot of joy and smiles to her new family. She would love to be an inside cat living in the lap of luxury, perhaps with the option to explore outside during the day once she has settled into her new home. Kitty Cole is ready to go home now and we are sure once you meet this stunning young girl it will be love at first sight. Kitty Cole was found by a member of the public with her siblings. They contacted the NAC for help and when we had space in the cattery we took the kittens in.

Katy

Katy is a gorgeous young cat who deserves a very special new home. She is very friendly and affectionate and will make a super pet. She gets on very well with other felines and we would love for her to be rehomed with one of the cats from her pod or to a home where there is an existing friendly cat or kitten. Katy slightly crosseyed; it doesn't affect her in any major way but it gives her loads of character! She will need to be an inside cat because of this though. Katy is super sweet and gentle and we are sure she will become and much loved and cherished family member in no time at all. Do you have space in your heart for this quirky and adorable little girl? Katy was brought in by a member of our Inspectorate when she was only a few weeks old. She was found alone and suffering severely from cat flu.

Brandy

Brandy is a cracking little lady looking for a active family to take her home. She loves lots of attention and gets on well with other dogs, ideally her new home will have another playful dog for company and a secure yard to play in. She cannot be left alone for prolonged periods and will require plenty of obedience training to help her grow up into a settled and well mannered adult. She is so friendly, she would make a ideal family pet provided the children have experience with dogs and preferably are over 8 yrs. of age. Brandy is a gem and will not stay at the centre long, once you meet her, you will love her. Have you room in your home & heart for Brandy?

He is house trained and lead trained. He is also used to horses. Casper is a low to medium energy dog but likes a nice daily walk. He’s extremely good-natured and would make a great family dog. Everyone who meets him loves him, he’s just such a gentle, lovable boy. Casper is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and wormed. Rhea

Rhea

Rhea is a gentle soul who has suffered greatly in her life, she really deserves her second chance. Rhea is very nervous of humans because of the way she was previously treated and needs a patient home with a lot of love to give. Since arriving at the centre she has come on very well and is now quite forthcoming with the staff she sees on a daily basis. With a little time she is sure to become very affectionate with her new owners. She must have secure fencing, another confident dog to learn from & mimic and a loving family preferably with no children who can let her gain confidence and come forward on her terms. She is so sweet and you can see the gentle and loving pet waiting to come out. She desperately deserves a wonderful forever home, can you help her? Roxy & Rhea were rescued from a backyard breeder with a number of other dogs. The others were in relatively good health but these two were suffering severely from mange.

Roxy

Roxy

Roxy is a lovely little lady in need of lots of TLC. She is quite nervous although she is improving daily but she needs a home without children or with older kids used to dogs. She needs to have a confident, friendly dog to learn from and help her build trust and confidence in people. When she is in her kennel and she feels safe she is quite forthcoming with the staff that she sees on a daily basis and we feel that it will just be a matter of time once she has settled in a home before she becomes a happy and friendly pet. She must have a fully fenced and very secure garden where she can go out to run and play. She desperately needs a second chance and a little love and kindness in her life, can you help her? Roxy & Rhea were rescued from a backyard breeder with a number of other dogs. The others were in relatively good health but these two were suffering severely from mange.

Roxy is currently in the care of the ISPCA National Animal Centre

Samson

Samson

Samson is a very handsome young lurcher boy. He was a little skinny when he came into the care of the KWWSPCA but he is putting on weight now and his coat is in good condition. He is very friendly, calm and well behaved, and his behaviour suggests he has been cared for in the past. He enjoys his walks and is good on the lead. He will need plenty of exercise as a young active dog. He has been wormed and vaccinated and will be neutered shortly. He is available to be booked for a home now. For more information about Samson or if you would like to offer him a home, please call/text 087 9133923 (reasonable hours only), private message us through the KWWSPCA Facebook page or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Or you are very welcome to come and meet him at our KWWSPCA shelter in Athgarvan (open to visitors from 2.00pm to 4.00pm every day apart from Sundays). We ask for a re-homing fee of €100 when re-homing a dog to partly off-set our veterinary and other costs, and a home check is required, with a secure garden a priority

Maisie

Maisie

Maisie is a quiet but friendly kitten. She loves a gentle hand to stroke her and will make a very sweet pet. She would love a home with another sociable kitten or cat to give her some company and a playmate. Maisie needs an indoor home with the opportunity to go outside during the day once she has settled in and has been neutered. She would suit a family with older children who are used to cats since she is very placid and doesn't like too much noise or activity. Maisie and her siblings were dumped at the centre in a sealed plastic container with no regard for their lives or wellbeing. All were severely dehydrated and overheated but thankfully came out of their ordeal with no lasting physical damage.

Lola

Lola

Lola is a beautiful tabby cat who is super friendly. She would suit a home with older children or adults only and would love to be a house cat as she likes her creature comforts. She will be available for rehoming once she has been neutered in a few weeks. Like all cats, Lola must be kept indoors for at least 2 weeks to allow her to settle into her new home before she can be allowed outside during the day to mooch around and sun herself in the garden. She will be a fantastic, loving pet for a laid back home. Lola was brought into a veterinary surgery in very poor condition. They contacted the centre and we agreed to take her in once her intensive treatment has ended and she had recovered from her illness.

Claus

Claus

Claus is a stunning black cat who loves attention and cuddles from people. He was very shy when he was first admitted to the centre but after lots of patience and gentle handling from staff he has become a friendly and confident kitten. Claus would love to be rehomed with one of his siblings or another friendly cat or kitten to give him a playmate in his new home. He will need to be kept indoors until he is neutered at around 6 months of age, after which he would love to be allowed outside during the day. Claus is a real pet who will thrive with love and attention in his new home. Claus and his 3 siblings were put on our extensive waiting list when a member of the public called asking for help with them. When they were top of the list and a space became available in our cattery we took them in to find them new homes.

Twilight

Twilight

Twilight is a kind and gentle soul. He is curious about his surroundings and love to potter around taking in all the sights and smells. As with all puppies he is playful and energetic but he loves cuddles from his carers too. He would be a great family pet and could be a single dog as long as he is not on his own for long periods but he would also fit in well to a home with existing pets. Twilight is currently in the process of house training and will start his lead training soon but these will need to be continued with his new owners. He will need to be an inside pet and there must be a secure garden in his new home. Twilight will be a great addition to the home; will you provide him with the life he deserves?

Nelly

Nelly is a lovable little lady. She is so sweet and will make a wonderful family pet. She would love to be rehomed with one of her pod mates for company but she would equally fit in well to a home with an existing cat. Oakley

Oakley

Oakley is a real gentleman; so calm and affectionate with everyone he meets. He is about the size of a greyhound with a more solid build. We would love him to go to a home with another medium/large dog for company (preferably his best friend Snudge) but he could go to the right home as a single pet provided he gets plenty of attention and is not left alone for prolonged periods of time. He cannot be rehomed with cats or small mammals. Oakley is house trained, a dream to walk on lead and relatively good off lead too. He needs a large, secure garden to run around and play in. He also adores children and is very tolerant of them however, as a bigger dog we would recommend a family with children aged 8+ or younger children who are used to big dogs. Oakley is fantastic and such an easy and unusual-looking dog; once you meet him you won't want to leave without him. He is currently in foster care so please ring ahead if you would like to meet this gorgeous boy.

Snudge

Snudge

Snudge is a stunning young greyhound who is bursting full of love for everyone he meets. He needs a home without cats and with another confident and friendly medium/large dog for company (preferably his best friend Oakley) and plenty of room in a secure garden to race around and play. He will form a very strong bond with his new owners and gets a little bit anxious if left without company for long periods so ideally he would love to go to a home where someone can be with him most of the time. He is still a puppy at heart and is very playful and mischievous though he loves to snuggle up with his human on the sofa or with his canine friends when he is tired. Snudge is house trained, walks well on lead, is used to travelling and has relatively good recall on a walk with other dogs. He is also good with children though he sometimes has a tendency to jump up when he gets excited. Snudge is the perfect pet who will bring lots of laughter and love to his new family. Once you meet him you will fall in love with this quirky and loving young dog. Snudge is currently in foster care so please ring ahead if you would like to meet him.

Lady

Lady

Lady is a lovely little dog. She is a gorgeous girl with a great temperament. She would be suited to a family home either with another dog or as a single pet where her owners are with her most of the time. She is in the process of being house and lead trained and this will need to be continued in her new home. Secure fencing is a must and of course lots of love and attention. Lady needs a chance to show how fantastic a pet she can be; will you give her that chance? Lady is one of a group of dogs that were signed over to a member of our Inspectorate. A well meaning individual had taken these dogs and more into her care after they found themselves in need of homes but the number of dogs in their possession quickly got out of hand so the ISPCA stepped in to assist the dogs.

Sadie

Sadie

Sadie is a 8 month old female lurcher. Vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and neutered, with a beautiful rich sable coat. Sadie is a beautiful looking dog and is ready to go to her new home after not having the best start in life. Her new home is one that shouldn't have any cats, though! Sadie is young, energetic and full of life. She would be best suited to a house that does not have a small dog, but rather a home that perhaps has no other pets or one which has a larger dog, as she would love to play with a dog closer to her own size (She is approx 24 inches). She is housetrained and sleeps indoors. Home checks apply as normal. If you are interested please call the Waterford SPCA office on 051 841432
