T-Bone is a fabulous boy looking for his own forever home. He is adorable, loves lots of attention, cuddles and a good long walk. He is playful and loving and will require a home with secure fencing, a adopter with experience of the breed and knowledge of restricted dogs as he falls under that category. He is strong on the lead & is currently receiving training to correct this but in the right home this boy will thrive and make his new adopters very happy indeed. He would love to be adopted with his buddy Tupac if possible, but were are open to any offer of a suitable responsible home.

T-Bone is currently in the care of the ISPCA National Animal Centre

Homer is a stunning boy looking for her own special forever home. He is a gorgeous boy but will require a home with a experienced Bassett owner and no children. He will require on-going obedience training and commitment of his new adopter to help him adjust to his new life. He walks well on lead, is fairly good off lead provided he doesn't sniff out something fun. He will best suit being a single dog in a quiet home as he loves his naps and comforts. He will soon be ready for adoption and we would love to find him his special home asap.

Tupac is the most adorable boy you will meet and he is waiting patiently for a fantastic family to take him home. He is like all puppies playful and packed tight with mischief but he is also very sweet and affectionate and we think he will make a fantastic pet. He is believed to be Rottweiler GSH X and as such is a restricted breed. His new home must good fencing, knowledge of restrictions for this breed and a responsible nature to implement these laws. He will require on-going training to allow him to grow up into a well mannered adult. Ada

Ada

Ada is a very sweet playful little lady. She has been neglected and continuously bred from all her life, never having a kind touch or love but since she arrived at the centre pregnant she has come on leaps and bounds and turned into a loving affectionate little dog. She is super with other dogs and particularly loves her best friend Jessie. Both these ladies raised each others babies and this big family unit thrived. Ada will soon be neutered and ready to start her own second chance. She would be ideal for a home secure fencing, another dogs for company, preferably Jessie and lots of TLC. She would be fine in a home with children provided they are a little older and used to dogs, preferably 8+. Can you can give this lovely lady the home she very much deserves

He will require a home with a active family who love the great outdoors, Hunter would be in his element hiking and such. He is good on lead and will be further tested off lead. He will also be further tested with cats, poultry & horses prior to adoption. Diego is a fabulous Lab looking for his own family to love him. He is simply gorgeous in temperament and looks. He is currently under assessment with other dogs and animals and further information will be available shortly. Rhea

Rhea is a gentle soul who has suffered greatly in her life, she really deserves her second chance. Rhea is so nervous of humans, who could blame her though as only recently has she been shown any love and affection and indeed a tender touch. She needs a patient home with a lot of love to give. She must have secure fencing, another confident dog to learn from & mimic and a loving family preferably with no children who can let her gain confidence and come forward on her terms. She is so sweet though, even when put under pressure she backs away. She desperately deserves a wonderful forever home, can you help her?

Roxy

Roxy

Roxy is a lovely little lady in need of lots of TLC. She is quite nervous and would ideally need a home with no children or older kids used to dogs. She would need canine company and a confident family pet would be ideal for her to learn from and gain trust and confidence. She is not yet lead trained but it is a work in progress and we endeavour to have this done prior to adoption. She must have a fully fenced garden, very secure where she can go out and you can feel confident she is safe & secure. Lady

Lady

LADY is looking for a home. Lady really deserves to find a loving home. Although quite young she looks older, probably due to neglect. We suspect she has had many litters of pups and was probably used purely for breeding purposes. She's definitely been in a cage or a small enclosed area as her nose is bald from rubbing it against a fence or cage bars. Lady was initially very quiet when coming into our KWWSPCA shelter in Athgarvan, but she is now much more lively. She doesn't get on well with some of the other little dogs in the shelter, probably due to her previous lack of socialisation, but she gets on great with our lovely, laid back lurcher Hazel. She is very friendly to humans and enjoys her walks (it doesn't look like she was walked much on the lead in the past), but she possibly would be best as an only dog or with a placid older dog to show her the ropes. Lady won't be ready for re-homing for a few weeks as she is still undergoing veterinary treatment for a skin infection (unless with a very experienced dog owning family who would be able to carry on her medical treatments) but we would love a family to come and meet her and hopefully fall in love with her, so that she has the promise of a warm and loving home when she has finished her treatment. She will be neutered and vaccinated shortly. If you would like to find out more about LADY or offer her a home, then please call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). A home check will be required and we ask for a re-homing fee of €100 to partly off-set veterinary costs.

Olive

Olive

Olive is stunning little lady waiting patiently for her forever home. She is quite shy but with some time and plenty of TLC she will be a lovely little companion. She loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with another canine buddy for company. Or she would make a lovely companion for a retired person with plenty of time to kelp her adjust. She would love a quiet home where she can be safe and secure and come out of her shell in time. Can you take gorgeous Olive home?

Elsa

Elsa

Elsa is probably a terrier/collie cross but she is much smaller than a collie. She has been in foster care but is now ready to be re-homed permanently and is with us in our KWWSPCA shelter in Athgarvan where you can come and meet her during our opening hours of 2.00pm to 4.00pm every day of the week. Elsa is house trained, very sociable, mixes well with other dogs and loves her cuddles. She is energetic, loves to play and would suit an active family where she will get plenty of mental and physical stimulation. She still needs some training on the lead and would not suit a family with very young children (under six) as she can jump up when excited. She is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. If you would be interested in re-homing Elsa, or would like more information about her, please call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Riley

Riley

This big guy is RILEY, who came into the care of the KWWSPCA from the Kildare Dog Pound and is now looking for a HOME. Riley has been neutered, chipped and vaccinated. We are not sure what mix of breeds he is but our best guess is a Boxer/Labrador/Collie combination. Riley has a lovely friendly personality and is a very happy dog, eager to please and mixing well with other dogs. He is a big, strong dog and while quite obedient on the lead, he can be quite strong and so would ideally be homed by someone with experience of a larger breed. And due to his size he wouldn't suit a family with young children If you would like to find out more about Riley or offer him a home, then please call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Or best of all come to meet him at our KWWSPCA Animal Shelter, which is on the road from Athgarvan to Twomilehouse (just outside Newbridge) and open every day to visitors from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. A home check will be required and we ask for a rehoming fee of €100 to partly offset their veterinary and other costs.

Mitch

Mitch

Mitch is one of our dogs that we have taken out of the Kildare Dog Pound. We think he is a Jack Russell/Chihuahua cross. He is neutered, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. Mitch would not be suitable for a family with children under 14 as he is very nervous and highly strung. He can be snappy if he is frightened. He would suit a life as a lap dog, perhaps as a loyal companion for an older person where there are no other dogs, but he would need exercise as well. He enjoys his walks and is good on the lead. He just needs someone to show him what love is and he will give back in spades to the right owner(s). If you would like to find out more about Mitch or offer him a home, please call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Kendra

Kendra

Kendra is aged about two and she came into the care of the KWWSPCA after spending her regulation five days in the pound during which time sadly she wasn’t reclaimed. Kendra is a bit overweight, probably from a lack of exercise, and she will require an active family who are prepared to give her regular long walks. She is good on the lead and obedient. She will need a secure garden as she is an agile climber! Ideally her owners should have previous experience of a large dog breed, and preferably of a husky/malamute. Kendra has been neutered, wormed, vaccinated and microchipped. If you would like to find out more about Kendra or offer her a home, then please private message us through our Facebook page, call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Lexi

This is Lexi. This little girl came into our care in very bad condition. She had sustained a back injury and had lost bowel control and had limited movement of her legs. She obviously had been left for several days before attention was sought. She went on a course of antibiotics and steroids to bring the swelling down. She has done great, has regained bowel control and runs around like any other little kitten, climbs trees and gets into all sorts of mischief. When she gets tired, she has a slight stiff movement of her leg. She is the most affectionate lovely little girl you could get. If you would like to give this little 10 week old kitten a home, please call 085 2397059. She will be vaccinated and spayed before going to her new home.

Winter

Winter

Winter is a stunning little lad looking for his family to love him. He is very sweet and playful and along with pod mates, he is always up to mischief. He would be a lovely family pet and would adore a home with another playful cat or kitten, preferably one of his pals. He must sleep indoors and predominately be a indoor cat until he grows up and preferably not allowed out on his own until he is neutered. He is so sweet and affectionate, he will fit into any home but would make a fantastic little pal for children to grow up with. His siblings have all been rehomed and he is waiting patiently for his chance, will that be with you?

Freddie is a 6 month old male cross bred labrador. He's in excellent physical condition having been neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for kennel cough, fleas/worms. Unfortunately Freddie's owner is no longer able to care for him and he needs a new home through no fault of his own, he's very affectionate, friendly, good with other dogs & cats, house trained & non-destructive indoors. He needs more exercise than is available to him right now and urgently needs to be moved to a new home where there is a secure outdoor/garden area and with an owner who enjoys walking/exercise/playing & can give Freddie the companionship he needs. He is not as confident as his sister Sinead but he is getting better each day and if he had a quiet home with lots of TLC he would soon be a super friendly kitten. Moe

Moe

MOE is looking for a HOME. This big bouncy boxer cross is Moe. He is approximately 3 years old and came into the care of the KWWSPCA along with another dog Minnie from fairly unfortunate circumstances where they didn’t have much space or interaction with other dogs. Consequently, our animal shelter with all the other dogs and wide open spaces for walks, is quite a culture shock for them. Moe can sometimes be quite dominant towards Minnie and hence we are looking to re-home them separately so that they can both flourish. We think Moe should be homed as an only dog as he has not been socialised around other dogs (apart from Minnie) and can be quite aggressive towards small dogs. He is strong on the lead and will need some basic training but he is an intelligent dog and is picking up commands quite quickly. Moe absolutely loves people and loves human contact; he just wants to give you a hug and cover you in sloppy licks! If you would be interested in re-homing Moe or for more information about him, please call/text 087 1279835 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). An experienced owner of larger dog breeds would be preferred and a home check will be required. We ask for a rehoming fee of €100 when we rehome a dog to partly cover their veterinary and other costs.

Milo

Milo

Milo is looking for a permanent home. We think Milo is an English bull terrier cross, and he is about a year old. He came into the care of the KWWSPCA several months ago when he was found half-starved and abandoned. After initially recuperating at our animal shelter, Milo went into foster care where has been given a lot of love and attention, and he is now fit and well and looking for a new home. This is what his foster family have to say about Milo – “He loves his morning and bedtime cuddles. He would definitely suit a home with another dog. He really enjoys canine company. He is brilliant on and off the lead. He is such a happy boy and is just as happy lazing around as he is on a walk. He has had absolutely no food aggression or anything. He has been socialised with children and he's grand with them but we do think he would be better with older kids given his size. He is an amazing dog, would be a credit to any family and would fit right in!” Milo has been neutered, vaccinated and wormed. Oakley & Snudge

Oakley & Snudge

These two gorgeous boys are looking for their own forever home. They are great with other dogs and adore the company of people. Both dogs love kids, Oakley especially but as they are lively big boys they would best suit a home with kids over 8, experienced with dogs. High secure fencing is a must and no cats or small mammals as they are too interested in them. They have good recall but as lurchers they quite often find something fun to chase and take their time coming back. Oakley loves his cuddles and is very laid back, Snudge is very puppyish and just mad to play all the time but when he's calm he is very affectionate too. Both boys are house trained & indoor dogs and are waiting patiently for a loving forever home to come forward. These boys adore each other and are so cute together we are appealing for a family to come forward to adopt these stunners. They are currently in foster, please call to arrange a meet. 043 3325035 Both boys are fully vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered and ready to rehome.

Tosca

Tosca

Tosca is a 2 year old male Husky/GSH cross breed, who needs a new home through no fault of his own and unfortunately his owner passed away. He's a fine healthy dog who has been neutered, fully vaccinated, flea/worm treated & microchipped. Tosca is a happy, good natured fella who is good with other dogs, (not cats), people, very friendly and affectionate, he also responds well to commands, will 'sit', pulls a little on the lead and training would need to be continued. He would be an excellent companion pet preferably with someone who has experience of his mixed breeds, the time to spend with him and a safe garden area.

Paddy

Paddy

Paddy is a handsome lad looking for his own second chance. Paddy is very social with other cats and loves to play with his siblings and pod mates, but he is timid & sacred around humans. He will need a patient home where he can settle and come forward in his own time. His new home must have another playful friendly cat or kitten to play with and for him to learn from. He is litter trained and is preferably an indoor cat until she comes of age to be spayed, when he can then be free to hunt the outdoors to his own content. He is in good health, is vaccinated and treated for parasites. He is now ready to be rehomed and we would love to find his forever family to love him and look after him with all the attention and care he deserves. Can you give this poor boy the second chance he needs?
