Hunter is a male collie who came into the care of the KWWSPCA recently as a cruelty case. He is 1-2 years old and is a very amiable, friendly dog towards people. He walks well on the lead and knows basic commands and really loves to be with the volunteers at the Shelter. His favourite pastime is to play football in the garden and he is very good at fetching and returning whatever toy or ball that is thrown for him. However, he seems not to have been socialised with other dogs and can be quite reactive towards them. We think he would therefore do best in a home where he is the only dog and because of his large size we would not recommend him to a family with small children. He is very clean in his kennel at night therefore we feel that he may be house trained although he seems to prefer to sleep on the floor rather than in a bed. He is at the KWWSPCA Animal Shelter in Athgarvan if you would like to meet him with a view to giving him a home. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. We ask for a minimum donation of €130 when we rehome a dog to partly offset veterinary fees and a dog license is required to complete the adoption. A home check also applies. Please contact 0871279835 for more information about Hunter.
