The ISPCA is launching a social media campaign to celebrate World Animal Week 4th – 10th October coinciding with the feast day of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals on World Animal Day, October 4th 2016.
ISPCA Ambassador Rosanna Davison, Michele McGrath and Suzanne Jackson are showing their support and are calling out to all animal lovers to get behind such a worthy cause and make a difference during World Animal Week. You can help in so many ways from volunteering to rehoming a rescued animal, by making a donation or simply giving your pet some extra attention.
ISPCA Public Relations Manager Carmel Murray said: “World Animal Week is a perfect opportunity to raise awareness for improved animal welfare standards not only in Ireland but right around the world. The ISPCA is asking all animal lovers to celebrate the wonderful role our pets play in our lives by posting a picture or video of themselves with their adorable pets to share online using #GiveThemAVoice. We want to hear how much your pets mean to you, or even what you think they would say if they could talk to you, so get involved and let us know @Ispca1 on Twitter, or @ispca_official on Instagram so we can see your amazing contributions.”
The ISPCA teamed up with Argillian Castle Doggie Cafe this week so you could be in with a chance of winning an amazing prize for you and your pooch by showing us how you are celebrating World Animal Week 4th – 10th October.
As a charitable organisation, the ISPCA relies on public support enabling us to carry out our vital work rescuing, rehabilitating and responsibly rehoming thousands of animals that desperately need our help. They cannot tell their stories themselves and need incredible animal lovers like you to #GiveThemAVoice.
You can support the ISPCA during World Animal Week by texting ISPCA to 50300 to donate €4. Text costs €4. ISPCA will receive a minimum of €3.25. Service Provider is LIKE CHARITY, Helpline 076 6805278.
We can all make a difference and how you celebrate World Animal Week is up to you whether it is to visit your local animal rescue centre, by becoming an ISPCA volunteer, offering your home to a rescued animal, making a donation or simply by giving your pet some extra love and attention.
Show your pet you care by being a responsible pet owner.
