The ISPCA Equine Rescue Centre hosts equine dentist day

The ISPCA Equine Rescue Centre in Mallow recently hosted an equine dentist day at the Centre. All of the attending equine dentists are members of the Equine Dental Association of Ireland, and as part of their continuous professional development, this day allows them to share knowledge and learn from one another, while assisting the ISPCA staff with the dental care of the many equines at the Centre. We want to thank Mike Dillon for organising this great day, and to all the other equine dentists who attended.

On average, equines should have their teeth checked every 6 to 12 months to ensure dental health. Treatments should always be carried out by qualified professionals. Obvious signs of tooth problems can include dropping food, weight loss, and swollen cheeks or bad breath.
