Summer Deluge Sinks ISPCA Festival

Due to the inclement weather in the midlands, the ISPCA has cancelled its Annual Festival which was due to take place later this month. The Festival which would attract thousands of animal welfare supporters from all sides of the country will be a devastating loss to the charity.

Speaking of the cancellation ISPCA CEO John Holohan said ‘We deeply regret having to cancel the Festival as it is an important part of our annual activities and a vital fundraiser for us. Unfortunately as an outdoor event, the wet summer has waterlogged the fields we use for exhibitors, display events and car parking. We hope that people who had planned to come will still visit the National Animal Centre at some stage. We still have many animals to re-home and any donations we receive will greatly help us. We are currently sourcing winter feed for the hundreds of animals in our care and urgently need the additional funds to help meet these challenges.”

Unfortunately reports of animal cruelty continue to rise and the ISPCA Centre’s are full to capacity with abused and neglected animals. The ISPCA is appealing to the public for support. Please help the ISPCA’s vital work today by making a donation. If you can donate €21 or more per month, we can claim tax back and your donation at no additional cost to you.

Your donation will make an enormous difference to an animal that is suffering. Thank you for your generous support.
