Petography: The Secret Life of Pets Exhibition

The quirky antics of some of Ireland’s best-loved celebrity pets have been revealed in a special petography exhibition that captures what the country’s A-list pets get up to when their famous owners aren’t at home.

Pets of celebrities including rugby hero Gordon D’Arcy, TV star Glenda Gilson, singer Mary Byrne and health food fanatic Roz Purcell, feature in ‘Petography: The Secret Life of Pets Exhibition’, an exhibition that shows pets getting up to mischief while their famous owners aren’t around.

The pets of Rosanna Davison, Holly Carpenter, Kathryn Thomas, Mark Cagney, Michelle McGrath, Gillian Quinn, Aoibheann McCaul, Dr Eva Osmond, Pete Wedderburn, Adele King and PJ Gallagher also feature.

The exhibition opens today (Wednesday 15th June) at Filmbase in Dublin’s Temple Bar and has been created by the team from Universal Pictures Ireland to celebrate the release of The Secret Life of Pets, which hits Irish cinemas on June 24th.

It has been organised in association with Ireland’s national animal welfare charity, the ISPCA and the pictures that feature in Petography will be auctioned in aid of the charity on its website until the exhibition closes.

The Secret Life of Pets is an Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures comedy about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day.

Speaking at the launch event last night (14th June), which featured appearances from celebrities and their pets, Carmel Murray, Public Relations Manager for the ISPCA said:

“We are delighted to partner with Universal Pictures Ireland on such a fun campaign. It’s been a great project to be involved in and we can’t wait to see if any of our celebrity pets get up to the same sort of antics as the characters in The Secret Life of Pets when the movie hits cinema screens.”

Petography will run at Filmbase from June 15th - 28th and entry is FREE. For more information on the exhibition and to place a bid on one of the portraits please click here.

Tickets for The Secret Life of Pets are available now via http://www.TheSecretLifeOfPets.ie. The film opens in Irish cinemas on June 24th with previews on June 18th and 19th.
