Last year we admitted a cruelty case in the form of a 7 month old St Bernard Prince Edward who was rescued by our Inspectorate and found to be underweight, disorientated and suffering from a severe skin condition Mange resulting in hair loss & skin lesions.
Before he left us he was back to full health, a truly great dog, loved attention and company of other dogs. He was adopted by a lovely family who had another St Bernard and lots of experience of the breed over the years and our beautiful boy fitted in like he belonged there. Recently they sent us an update and photographs as follows.
“He is a wonderful dog and we absolutely adore him. I am looking at him on his bed beside the stove in our kitchen as I write this letter to you and the way he looks at me makes it really easy to put pen to paper.
His health is very good, he eats well, chases the cats along with our other dog Napolean, chews everything on site but is forgiven everything!
Thank you so much for bringing this wonderful and beautiful creature into our lives who we call Ned as our son cannot pronounce Prince Edward. “
