Many thanks to all at Belveredere House and Gardens for their kind help and assistance with hosting the Scruffs dog show in association and in aid of the ISPCA; we are very grateful for their support.
Huge thanks also to ISPCA volunteers, Daniel, Jeanette and Michael Foley from Roscommon, who helped prepare for the event and also manned the stand and assisted with the judging.
Michael and Jeanette Foley helping animals that depend on the ISPCA
A super crowd turned out to support the event, and dogs of many different shapes and sizes played with each other. 'It was wonderful to see owners out socialising their pets, especially in aid of animals that don't have a family to call their own yet ' commented ISPCA volunteer Michael Foley.
Best in Show
The winner of the Golden Oldies class, a collie cross by the name Keenan and handled by his adoring owner Ava Gavaghan from Co Longford, won the greatly coveted prize of Best in Show.

Hot on the paws of Keenan, is Buster who won the Reserve Best in Show. Pictured with his loving team of fans Una and Luice Duffy and Aine Ni Leochain from Athlone, Co Westmeath.
It was great to see a lot of the ISPCA rescued animals coming to the event with their families, to support the ones not so lucky, and also a really good turn out from a lot of local pet owners. ~Thank you~Viewed 6083 times.
