We’re looking for 25 animal lovers to take part in the Evening Echo Mini Marathon on Sunday 24th September 2017 on behalf of the ISPCA Equine Rescue Centre, Dromsligo, Mallow, Co. Cork. We are hoping to raise €5,000 to develop our equine isolation unit caring for cruelly treated, neglected and abused animals. The isolation unit, which is separate from our main stables is the holding area for newly rescued equines. We desperately need to expand our facilities that will enable us to help even more horses, ponies and donkeys rescued by the ISPCA Inspectorate.

If you missed Senior Inspector Lisa O’Donovan’s interview with Liz O’Brien at the Evening Echo recently discussing her amazing work she does in the Cork area you can read it here,
We are thrilled that EIR have donated a massive €5,000 which, we are putting towards this project that will cost a total of €10,000. We need your help and are appealing for 25 participants to walk, jog or run in the event for the ISPCA Isolation Unit and to raise €200 each. Are you up to the challenge?
The ISPCA Equine Rescue Centre in Mallow was set up in June 2007 due to an urgent requirement for a facility to accommodate the volume of cruelly treated, neglected and abused equines in the south of Ireland and in the last five years, over 300 horses were rescued and admitted to the Centre.
