Mayo SPCA
Registered Charity Number: CHY 14728
Mayo SPCA was founded in 2000 by a group of volunteers dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to all animals in Co. Mayo. We operate a 'no-kill' policy and in the main use foster parents to care for our rescued animals. We have obtained three successful prosecution cases during this time in respect of chicks, bullocks and a dog. We operate a membership scheme for the small cost of €10.00 annually, produce a newsletter and provide a membership card. Neutering/spaying is our priority, reduced vouchers are issued to those in need for this purpose. Affilliated to the ISPCA since 2002 we adhere strictly to guide lines/regulations set down by them. In April 2004 Company Limited status was achieved.
We appreciate all offers of assistance short or long term for fostering, fundraising, education, transport and are always in need of help.
We are supported by the Department of Agriculture.
